The Effectiveness of Antibacterial Wipes

Antibacterial wipes tested with active ingredients..

The purpose of this research project was to test the effectiveness of the five different types of wipes against six different types of bacteria.The bacteria that was used included E-coli, Pseudomona, Salmonella, Klebisella, Serratia, and Staphylococcus. The procedure for the project was to grow each bacteria individually on five different plates. Five plates were used due to there being five different types of antibacterial wipes, so each wipe would have it's own plate for each bacteria. The wipes were then tested for each bacteria by testing the zone of inhibition around the square pieces of wipes on each plate. Note: most zones of inhibition are small but if you look closely they are there. Results should be different for each wipe due to each one utilizing a different active ingredient or amounts (as listed above). Results for each wipe are found below.
