A little about Me
Well, where to start?? *G* My name is Jeanne and I was born in July of 1962, so that means I am
35 years young. Remember when you thought 35 was old?? I sure do, but it
is a wonderful age!! Someday, I might just start acting my age, but I am
sure that won't be anytime soon! *L* Someone was born 5 minutes after me, who is my bestest
friend the in world. Janet and I are as close as too people can be. Being a twin
is the greatest thing in the world. Wouldn't know what to do without her. I
have an older sister, Sue, who is two years older than me. She lives down in
Tulsa, and a pretty good soul, now that we have gotten older in life. She likes
to keep my kids, so she can't be all bad. I have and had two great parents.
My mom, who is the fairest parent that I know. I don't know how she did it,
but she did. I wish I was more like her. My dad, who passed away last October,
was pretty fair too. I think he always wanted a boy, and really didn't know
what to do with us girls. *S* But he did his best. Strick, that is for sure.
But we turned out pretty good, so he must of been doing a good job. I miss him
being in my life. Thank goodness for memories. I grew up in a small town
of 1300 people. So everyone knew everyone.
Met my hubby, Dan that I have had for 16 years, when I was 17, fell in love
and was married at 18. I know....I was too young, but have you ever tried
to tell and 18 year old girl that she is too young?? *LOL* We have two pretty
good children. Michael is 13 and Carrie is 10. So for so good with them. No
major troubles. But the teen years aren't here yet. So ask me in a couple
of years if they are still pretty good kids!! *LOL*
I work at a Veterans Home. I have been there for 15 years. I was
a CSM (a med tech) for the first 12 years, then I decided I needed a change,
and became a Unit Clerk. You are probably wondering what a Unit Clerk is. Well,
it is like a Secretary, but more. If I listed everything I do, it would bore
you to death. So I don't want that to happen! *S* I love my job. I love
the veterans and I try to make there life easier. God knows they deserve it!
I have a wonderful group of people that I work for. Some of them are my best
friends.
Now for some of the things I like to do. I love to bowl. I have been bowling
since I was 10 years old. Some of the girls at work and I bowl on a winter
league. I do it more now for the fun of it. I don't take it very seriously, like
some people do. I love to have a great time! *S* I also like to watch
my kids in there sports. Michael wrestles and baseball, and Carrie
is doing softball. That keeps me pretty busy in the summertime. I also like
to play on the computer. *S* If I am not in the chathouse, I am in the Game Zone,
playing Spades or Backgammon (which I am not very good at). I have met alot
of very nice people on the net. And a few in person.
Who, I can't say enough about. They are the best, and I hope someday
to see them again. *S*
