Five centuries ago, an evil monster was sealed inside a
temple by a samurai who used a magical weapon called the "Beast Spear" to trap it there. A descendent of the
samurai, Ushio, later on unknowingly unsealed themonster. Ushio used the Beast Spear to keep it under
control. He gave it the name Tora as it resembled a
tiger("Tora" is the Japanese word for tiger). Ushio
and his newfound troublemaking comrade would later
on run into other monsters and have to deal with them. Tora has the ability to fly, make himself
invisible to anyone else accept Ushio and other monsters, and to shoot out bolts of electricity from
his forehead. He used to have a hunger for only the
flesh of humans, but one of Ushio's friends helped
him to kick the habit by getting him hooked on hamburgers. Tora isn't all bad-ass though. He even adopted a little baby kitten that Ushio's father had found.
