Miniature horses enjoy attention, have a curious nature
and are intelligent. This makes them wonderful
companions. As people get older and the 1200
pound horses are too much for them to handle, they often
switch to the smaller horses. These little "mini's"
are worth their weight in gold in therapeutic programs
for disabled children, adults, and the aged.
It is common to find a group of Miniature Horse owners
together, at a meeting or a show. They come from all
walks of life, white collar, blue collar, professionals,
students and retirees.
Miniature horses cost or value is determined by many
factors. For example: foal or adult, mare,
stallion, gelding, size show records and its bloodlines.
The Miniature Horses are given the same care as a larger
horses. They just get it on a much smaller scale.
A cup of grain and flake of hay at feeding time will keep these
little horses trim and healthy.
It is not necessary to have a trailer to transport
miniatures (depending on how many you have, of course).
They can be transported in a station wagon, a mini
trailer, or a truck or van. Some even fly as excess
baggage on trips with their owners.
