Since I'm guessing that some of you might actually want to know what kind of pyromaniac…err, Kazuki Kazama fan would make a site like this; I'll be fair and answer the basic questions in FAQ format. If you have any other questions or comments, feel free to email me about it. First I'll answer stuff about myself, then that of Kazuki.

Q: Who are you?

A: A 24 year old, multiple video game system owning, American college student who resembles Rasetsu Kazuki on some of the more annoying Monday mornings. Obviously I had more time to make and edit this site than to finish my saved games of Need for Speed: Underground or Skies of Arcadia. I'm not going to give you my real name because if you don't know it … it's better that way, so suffice for it being Kazuki64. I'm a Pisces (March 15th) who likes drawing, HOCKEY, and cooking (romantic) dinners that don't feature mushrooms. Keep the simple questions coming…

Q: Why a site based upon Kazuki / Samurai Spirits?

A: For starters, one of my favorite games of all time is the Samurai Spirits series with the firebrand Nukenin being my obviously favorite character. He's one of the better video game ninja in my opinion; right up there with Hanzo Hattori, Yoshimitsu, and even Ryu Hayabusa. Anyway, I made the site because I hadn't seen any other shrines to the burning explosive ninja … which is a shame! So why not get both HTML experience and support a grand character?

Q: Have you done any other sites?

A: Too many. The first site I ever did was back in late 1996 when I created the mini-site Sean's Domain listed upon the Street Fighter Web Ring eons ago just to learn HTML. As of late, others have popped up with my aid … such as Running Wild, Blue Samurai, and even a Joe Higashi shrine that was unfortunately EATEN by a certain web hosting site. Expect any other self created or aided sites under the links section when complete.

Q: Any other favorite characters?

A: Yes, I'm not one-dimensional! Here they are in order of importance:

Yun/Yang Lee: If there was a fighting game other than SS4 that I had to play constantly, it would be Street Fighter III, no questions asked. It's my fav'fighting game to date, with Yun/Yang(the latter being the fav' of the twins)being the usual 'first pick' when playing. Despite the Gundam semblance, the twin dragons are very slick in design!

Ky Kiske: If you didn't know already, I'm also a fan of the Guilty Gear series - more specifically, its holy knight swordsman in white. No real significant reason for favoritism, though he's one of the few main characters in fighting games I don't mind.

Jin: As of recent, I've been getting into the anime series called Samurai Champloo. I'm told it'd made by the same artist who did the Kenshin series(which I didn't get into); but this one involves not only the cool samurai theme, Jin(a ronin from what I've gathered), but also a mellow hip-hop like theme. Definitely worth giving at least a glance at!

Let's go, Hazuki!

Kazuki Questions

Q: What's with the look? You know what I'm talking about…

A: I know, I know…I've heard it a million times. Yes, Kazuki does resemble a Dragon Ball Z Saiya-jin. I still don't know if SNK purposely did this, nor do I know if they designed it just to resemble the searing flames he controls. Either way, I wouldn't change it…he's a firebrand, it works. As long as he isn't yelling Kame Hame Ha, we'll all sleep better.

Q: What happened to his parents?

A: It's anyone's guess on that…weighing the facts, it's known that all three siblings belong to the Fuuma ninja clan and yet no biological parents were mentioned. Typical of SNK fans to do, I've heard rumors ranging from their parents dying in a previous mission to their mom and dad being really some sort of wandering spirit that gave orphan children elemental powers. Amazing what people think of in idle time!

Q: Why does Sogetsu want to kill him?

A: According to the ninja clan and the story line, it was forbidden for ninja in the Fuuma clan to rescue their lost comrades. I've heard this rule in other games like Tenchu 1, too…so this might be universal. Since Kazuki wouldn't dare let his sister die in the clutches of evil, he disobeys this rule and chases after. The grandmaster then tells Sogetsu that since his brother has gone renegade, he must hunt and kill him before the clan's secrets could be revealed if he or his sister are forced to talk. Sogetsu accepts the duty and hunts Kazuki down. Upon the finish of their duel, Kazuki escapes with Hazuki to a nearby forest. It's there that Sogetsu catches up to Kazuki and orders him to give up. Kazuki at this point doesn't care whether he lives or dies, just plainly glad to know Hazuki's safe, opts to take the punishment. However, moments later when the rest of the green clad Fuuma ninja arrive, they find a slumped over Kazuki and Sogetsu standing over him. Sogetsu later reports to their leader that the renegade has been dealt with ("Piece of cake!"). It isn't until the following game's ending that we realize Sogetsu faked his brother and sister's death so they could escape the clutches of their former clan hunting them. Sogetsu later took control of the clan, allowed Kazuki and Hazuki back into the cadre, and even allowed rescue of lost comrades in the clan. It's said the ninja clan grew to legendary status, rivaling that of Hanzo Hattori's own Iga ninja clan.
