- abilities: a powerful...sorcerer, I guess. Nakago uses his vast chi in various effective spells. He has the ability to put up a shield which nulifies the powers of the other seishi.
- history: When Nakago was only eleven years old, the emperor of Kutou ordered his tribe destroyed. The emperor sent in soldiers to kill everyone. Nakago's mother told him to run away, but he couldn't. He stayed and saw five soldiers rape her. In a rage, he used his seishi powers for the first time to obliterate the soldiers and, unfourtunately, his mother. The surviving soldiers, realizing that the boy was a seishi, took Nakago to the palace and presented him to the emperor. The emperor said that they must keep Nakago safe until Seiryuu no miko came. He said "His face is pretty like a little girl's. I'll keep him with me." Nakago became the emperor's "toy". When he was old enough to escape the emperor's attention, he vowed that he would master his powers and use them to take revenge on the sky that had given him this hellish life.

Nakago was the first of Seiryuu's seishi and the strongest. He is, in a weird way, Yui's protector in that he doesn't want anything to happen to her before she summons Seiryuu.
Nakago is a heartless, calculating man who manipulates others to do his will when it's not convinient for him to do it himself. He is cool and level-headed, exactly in the way that his counterpart Tamahome isn't. Because Nakago is so devious, he is also a bit of a strategist and his immense power won him the position of shogun to 1/3 of Kutou's army.
