What is Witchcraft?
I'm not going into great detail on what Witchcraft is. That would take FAR too long. There are many other sites that go into it more than my own, and I have listed a few of them on my favorite witchcraft site page. Here's a touch based discription of what Witchcraft is.
Witchcraft: The craft of the wise.
Witchcraft are nature based religions. I say "religions" because there are many traditions of Witchcraft. For example, I myself am an Eclectic Solitary Witch with Wiccan roots. This means I practice diffrent parts of the diffrent traditions of Witchcraft, and I practice alone. A few of the most common traditions of Witchcraft are: Wicca, Alexandrian, Celtic, Gardnerian and Dianic. There are many many more traditions, and new traditions starting up all the time.
Many people think that Witchcraft is Satanic. This is FAR from the truth. As Witches, we don't believe that Satan exists. We don't believe that Hell exitst. We actually don't "worship" anything. We prefere to use the words celebrate, or honor.
We honor the cycles of the Earth, and in doing so we honor the cycles of life. We celebrate the change of season. Our religious "hollidays" (we call them Sabbats), are tied into the change of seasons and the Earth's cycle.
There are 8 Sabbat's in the year starting at Yule (Dec. 21st) or Winter Solstice and going to Samhain (Oct. 31st), the Pagan new year. You can find more information on the Sabbits by going

Being a Witch, was the best religious choice I could have ever made for myself.
