Chapter 14
Lauren and Lance stayed sleeping on the couch all night. JC usually the first to wake up went into the kitchenette to wake up the others. He saw Lance's blonde head lying on the couch. Nothing seeing Lauren beside Lance, he said, "HEY Lance! Rise and Shine!"
"What?" Lance mumbled
"Why did you sleep on the couch?" JC asked
"HUH?" Lance said still half asleep. He moved his hand to rub his eyes and felt Lauren beside him. He suddenly remembered falling asleep with her in his arms. "JC hush!" Lance said quietly so not to wake Lauren up, as she began to stir.
"What? Why did you sleep on the couch?"
"I just fell asleep here that's all. I am awake now. Thanks." Lance said. JC mumbled something and then went to wake the rest of the group up. Lance smiled as he looked down at Lauren.
"Lauren" Lance said as he kissed the top of her head.
"Hmm?" she moaned still asleep.
"Wake up…Come on girl!" Lance said starting to kiss her head again.
"No, I don't want to!" Lauren mumbled as she started to move in his arms. "I am quite happy just like this." She said becoming more awake. She lifter her head from Lance's chest then laid it on his shoulder, so that she could look into his eyes. "Can't I just stay like this all day?" she asked sweetly.
"I wouldn't mind it. But I don't think the guys would go for it, and it would be hard to explain why I missed the performance." Lance said laughing slightly.
"Oh okay be a party pooper." Lauren said as she started to sit up completely. She stretched and ran her hands through her hair. She started to stand up, but just as she was about to walk away Lance grabbed her waist and gently pulled her back onto his lap. "Why did you do that? You're the one that said we had to get up." She asked as Lance wrapped his arms around her, sending chills down her body. Lance leaned his head into give her a kiss, just as he was about to her mouth she turned her head and he grazed her check with his lips. She giggled as Lance pulled away.
"What the heck?" Lance asked confused.
"I'll kiss you after we BOTH go brush out teeth." She answered as Lance looked at her and started to get a pouty look on his face. She pried herself out of Lances arms and stood up going to her room.
Lance sat laughing on the couch for a few minutes then stood up and went to his room to get ready. By this time JC had made sure everyone was awake and getting ready in the four bathrooms of the suite. Chris and JC shared the shower between their rooms. JC was in the shower and Chris was finishing a few emails. Justin and Lauren were suppose to share the bathroom that was between their rooms, but since they both took to long to get ready Justin used the fourth bathroom. Lance and Joey shared the last bathroom. Lance knocked on the door and Joey said he was about done, and would be out in five minutes. Lance sat on his be and thought of the night before. He had finally told her everything and she had returned his feelings. Now she was his and he did not have to deny it to himself anymore. Lance sighed as he thought of how Lauren had felt in his arms and jumped at the sound of a knock on his door. "Yeah" he yelled.
Justin walked in and looked at Lance "You look well rested" Justin stated.
"Thanks! Yeah I slept well last night. You never came back last night." Lance said.
"Yeah I did. But I knew that you two were okay so I didn't bother you. Lance I am glad Lauren and you are together I think last night is the first time in weeks I have actually slept without worrying about her."
"Yeah, I know what you mean. Thanks…for the help and support."
"No problem. What are friends for? Well sounds like Joey's done. I just wanted to make sure everything was okay." Justin said as he turned and left the room.
Everyone continued to get ready and about thirty minutes later they were all in the except for Lauren. "Where is she?" JC asked looking at his watch. "We have 10 minutes until we have to leave."
"Chill, JC, I'm sure she'll be right out." Chris said.
"Yeah, has she ever made us late for anything." Lance said "Here, I'll go make sure she is about ready if that makes you happy." Without waiting to hear what they all said he turned and walked to Lauren's room. He knocked on the door and heard "Come in!"
"Oh Hi Lance!"
"Hey, how you feeling?" Lance asked as he watched her finish her makeup.
"Okay, except for my eyes are still puffy from crying." She said as she turned toward him to look at him. Lance was wearing casual jeans and a short sleeve tee shirt. She thought 'Man that boy knows how to dress.' And smiled sweetly. Realizing he hadn't said anything in a few minutes. Lauren asked "What you thinking about?"
"YOU!" Lance said smiling. As he looked at her standing there in her pale green sundress, he watched her tuck a few strands of her brown hair behind her ear. She walked over and picked up her purse and light jacket then walked back to the mirror.
"Thank you!" Lauren said. "Think we should go out to the group yet?" she asked as Lance walked towards her.
"No, actually I was suppose to come in here and see if you were almost ready. And by my watch we still have 4 minutes. Hmm what can we do with that time?" Lance said looking into Lauren's eyes.
"I'm sure we can think of something," Lauren said looking up to Lance's face. Then reached to kiss Lance's nose. Looking hurt Lance stuck out his lower lip.
"Hey, you said I could have a kiss when we had both brushed our teeth. I know mine are good and clean, and considering you have a little toothpaste right here." Lance said as he moved closer to her mouth. He gently licked the toothpaste off the corner of her mouth, then pressed his lips against hers. They both moaned slightly as their lips met and they embraced each other in a kiss. Being totally wrapped up in each other they did not hear the door knock and then open.
"Hey….Oh my…uhm sorry!" JC said blushing.
"It's okay!" Lance said after they pulled apart. "What did you want?"
"Just wanted to tell you we are leaving…but sorry I should have knocked harder." JC said, still blushing.
"It's okay. You guys all had to find out some way. I could have thought of a better way…such as just telling you but you know it's all cool." Lauren said as Lance helped her slip her coat on and then walked to the door. "I really didn't think you would have found out this way or even this early this morning." Lauren took Lances hand into hers "Come on you two lets go!" she said as she pulled on Lance's arm the they walked out of the room. They walked into the kitchen and were greeted by Joey, and Chris who stood in shock when they saw Lance and Lauren holding hands. "Okay I'm just going to say this. Lance and I are together. Yes you both knew we had the feelings and he finally acted on his. I am telling you all this right now so that we don't have another little shock." Lauren continued to explain how JC had just walked in on them kissing.
Everyone in the group agreed it was about time that they got together and congratulated them.
Lance, Lauren, JC, Joey, Chris, and Justin spent the next month touring around the USA Lauren and lance spent most of their time wrapped up in learning about each other. There had been a few times when they would disagree but it never took long for them to be back hugging and kissing. It had become a nightly ritual for Lauren to hug each guy starting with Chris and ending with Justin then Lance. As the month progressed all the guys become excited because Chrissy would be coming soon. And that meant Justin would stop grumbling about missing her.
