"So what are you thinking about?" JC asked.
Theresa looked up at him as if from waking up from a dream. "Nothing really," she replied. The moment was gone. She had missed her chance. She then thought of the first time they had met. She and her friends were going to be opening acts. After the show she and JC had gone for a cup of coffee. There and then they had begun a precious relationship and that relationship was friendship.
"You know this is nice for a change. Nobody can recognize us," JC said.
She smiled and nodded. "Yeah, you're right," she said. She had missed her chance. She had waited much too long and the moment had passed. It was over. Her perfect chance. She had wasted it thinking. They sat down at a small table and talked. She listened to his voice as she slowly sipped her decafinated coffee. She watched as his bright blue eyes sparkled in the morning light. There was nothing more she enjoyed than listening to his soulful voice as he spoke and when he sang it was another matter.
JC looked at her. And then a feeling of confusion over took his being. He had so many mixed feeling for Theresa. Did he love her? Yes he did. Did he love Christina? He was still trying to figure it out.
"Josh! Josh? Earth to JC?" said Theresa trying to get his attention.
"Oh, I am sorry. What were you saying?" he asked coming out of his deep thoughts.
"I was talking about this song I have been writing for you guys," she said.
"Oh we were talking about buisness?" he said.
"Of course what else would there be?" she asked him.
Theresa was such a buisness woman. Sometimes it puzzled him why Lance hadn't fallen head over heels in love with her. He took a look at the sheet of music. "Its a great song. It'll be perfect for our voices and stuff," he replied. "But I'll have to ask the guys' opinions."
She nodded and then her beeper went off. "I need to make a call okay?" she said. She got up and called the person back. It was Angie. She spoke with her for a few moments and then returned.
JC looked at her and then at the time. "I need to get back," he said apologetically.
She watched as he got into the car. "See you tonight," he said as he waved goodbye.
Theresa wouldn't be prepared for what tonight had in store for her....
