"Then the voice above my head, called "if that disclaimer isn't said, you'd better get a lawyer, it would make it easier to win." I don't own, Mulder and X, I don't write ust, I don't write sex. I write fanfic, how's that make it mine? How could I own this show divine? A comment drizzled in from CC and Mark Snow, they said "Try using someone else's show", but the writer is quick, total story is due, in her bedroom home not a chance to sue. In the corner beside her bird, very busy writing words, isn't financially ensured... I think this thing is pretty long... and I really like James Wong... I don't own it, please don't sue! X~~~~~~~~~~~~ Spider in My Room ~~~~~~~~~~~~X 10:13 PM October 13, 1998 Lieutenant Khel slowly descended from the ceiling of the dwelling, hanging precariously at the end of her polyurethane rope. <74 legs to go.> Commander Mriska ordered from her vantage point by a wall. Black eyes flashed, Private Raql turned to her fearless leader. Mriska responded coolly. She couldn't stand the privates in her crew. Sharp legs clicked. Private Leph skittered up to the leader. She asked cheerfully. Mriska snarled at her and snapped her jaws. Private Leph jumped away. she giggled, and skittered across the fibrous desert of the floor. Rie'n said suddenly. Mriska swiveled her eyes up to try and scope out his form on the wall. Her eyes could just barely make out his small black body illuminated by the green glow of the human's telecommunication device. Raql commented, flashing her eyes at the telecommunicator. Mriska tried to ignore the Private. She asked. Khel chirped. Someone reported from the large mesa by the mini-aquatic geodome. A loud crash followed. Mriska spun her body on eight spindly legs to stare coldly in their direction. She snapped. Jescka stated formally. Khel shouted suddenly. Mriska and Raql both raised themselves up on their legs. Raql skittered off toward the small mesa Khel was heard from. Khel yelled again. Mriska ordered her Lieutenant, as she raced across the carpeted floor of the dwelling. Rie'n cried in desperation from the wall. Two large vibrations shook through the ground as Mriska scrambled across it. She almost tripped over her legs as she realized the human was standing. Khel whimpered from her place on the table. Mriska could see the human now in her range of vision. She quickly analyzed him: 73 legs tall, no weapon, just waking up. She almost completely froze in her own disgust. Leph suddenly screamed at the human from her vantage point on the ceiling. Jescka shouted in pure rage. The human was now examining the ceiling to find the source of the voice. Mriska screamed. Leph shouted. Khel took the momentary distraction of the human to her advantage, and made a mad dash across the table, her sharp legs making clittering noises in the near-silence of the room. The human bent down to reach behind his sleeping cot. Rie'n commented in a slightly panicked voice. Luk protested from the large mesa. Mriska barked the order. Khel and Raql immediately skittered to her side. Jescka, Ssam, and Luk were heard moving their legs across the hard-surfaced floor in the other living quarters. Leph said hastily as she tried to lower herself from the ceiling. Rie'n raised himself on his legs, a little farther away from the wall. A slow, flat voice suddenly filled their ears. "I don't like spiders," the human growled as a loud whirring filled the air. Rie'n shouted. Mriska swiveled to an about-face, and ran. But the human hadn't spotted them. He'd spotted Rie'n. Rie'n yelled. Leph finally touched down. She hid under the small mesa, while the rest of Mriska's crew watched the human in horror. Rie'n skittered across the wall away from the Earther. The vector-machine and the human followed him. Rie'n tried all his evasive maneuvers at top speed, but soon found himself in a corner with no escape. He stared down the human and the vector-machine, flashed his black eyes, and snarled The whirring grew louder as Rie'n was sucked into the vacuum. Khel screamed, and tried to dash at the human. Raql tried to hold her back with her forelegs, but Khel broke free and skittered towards the human. She climbed up his leg in a fury, preparing to inject him. The human made a noise that many frightened female spiders were known to make, and swept at her with his hand. Khel's shiny black body went flying across the room and crashed against the wall. She tumbled to the floor, her legs broken and bent, her life system shut down. Luk cried. Ssam exclaimed. Mriska barked. Leph shifted her weight uncomfortably, and cowered behind the table leg. Raql protested, flashing her eyes up at him. Mriska shouted. Jescka, Luk, Ssam, and Raql dutifully followed their orders, and ran up to the human. He saw them coming, and pointed the vacuum-device at them. Instantly they broke formation and circled him. Jescka moved too slowly, and fell prey to the vacuum-machine. Luk climbed up his leg, but she was smacked off with another shout. Ssam stopped at his ankle, and tried to get a good bite on him there, but he planted his foot down on her, and she was crushed beneath his weight. Raql jumped onto the vector-machine, and scrambled up it's white length to his arm. The human swung his arms frantically and tried to dislodge her, but she hung on to his sleeve by two legs, and almost got her teeth into him. He clapped his hand over her, and her body became nothing more than a green and black stain on his shirt. Mriska shrieked. Her crew had been annihilated! Her only option was to contact the Homeship and get herself the hell out of there... The human turned his head, and focused his narrowed eyes on her. Mriska turned another about-face, and ran for the cover of the table. The human easily caught up to her. Mriska opened the link to her vessel and shouted her authorization. The human was just legs behind her... *POUND* He was a step closer, and she was so close to the table... *POUND* Almost there... *SCRANCH.* The human planted his heel down on Mriska firmly, terminating her life system. Homeship came through in crackles from Mriska's mutilated commlink. The communication link terminated. Mulder looked around his apartment wearily. He'd clean up the spider mess later. Absently he wiped his hands on his pants, and climbed back on the couch. Tomorrow he'd tell the landlord about the bug problem. Maybe there was a nest somewhere... Leph cowered alone in the corner underneath the table. What was left of her former Commander's broken body lay just 12 legs ahead of her. Shakily, she opened link with the Homeship.
