-Learn the Kickflip-

-Performed by Arto Saari-

Step 1.  First learn good, controlled ollies before you even attempt a kickflip.
Step 2.  The controlled ollie will give you better balance and stability and enable you to learn everything more quickly.
Step 3.  Put your foot in a comfortable position (everybody has variations), generally the best one is with your heel off the board whether regular footed or goofy.
Step 4.  Think about what you're doing and relax-don't stress if you can't do it right away, every skateboarder (including all pros) has been in the same position at some point.
Step 5.  Try to catch the board before it flips to the ground. After time, if you wat to take the trick all-terrain, you'll thank me, if you don't learn it this way, you'll be triple flipping to Primo (landing on the side of your board) all over the place, and you'll be the sadder man for it.
Step 6.  If this trick dosen't work fo you, don't worry, there're plenty more tricks just as satisfying. Skateboarding isn't just about the kickflip, don't let anyone tell you differently, find out what works for you and stick with that.
