-Learn the Frontside 50-50-
-Performed by Pat Duffy-
Step 1. Approach ledge, curb, rail, etc. at a slight angle.
Step 2. Ollie
Step 3. Land with both trucks on the ledge. Your front foot should be over the front truck, and your back foot should be between the back truck and the end of the tail. Make sure your weight is centered and balanced above your board. Don't lean too far forward or backward.
Step 4. Once you've grinded as far as you can, put pressureon the tail, lift the nose slightly, and drop off. Keeping your balance when getting off. That's the hardest thing to learn, but you'll get the feel for it.
Step 5. Land with your knees bent. Always land with your knees bent.
Note. Its good to keep your eyes on your board. Try just ollieing to axle stall first-that will give you a better feeling of getting on the ledge. The faster you go, the farther you will grind. Start on curbs and work you way up to waist-high flat rails. After you get good at basic 50-50s, add some variations: 180 out, kickflip out, kickflip in, etc. Good Luck.!!
