UPDATE 10/2/98 :
The Team met at "THE N ZONE" and we played our Season opening
night 10/1/98, against the "BW3's Piledrivers". When all was said and done, at the end of the night, we were the clear
Winners !! We won 8 games out of 13. The standings and the stats from last nights game will
be posted next week. Watch for future updates!
UPDATE 10/9/98 :
Congratulations Doug! - Darter of the week in 301.After the first week, we are in second place in our division. The team had a bye this week, so there is no news to report.
Next week the Fire Eaters will travel to "Patty's Pub Central" to play "DK". Check back next week.
UPDATE 10/16/98 :
We played at "Patty's Pub" against "DK" (Dart Killers). We won the match 7 games to 6. We were still second in our division,
even though we had a bye last week. I guess we're doing pretty good for Rookies. Next week we play at our home bar "THE N-ZONE" and
we will host the team that is currently in 1st place "Town & Country WMSBWSDAOB".(I don't know what those letters stand for)

UPDATE 10/23/98 :
We played "Town & Country WMSBWSDAOB". (That stands for: "We May Suck, But We Sure Drink Alot Of Beer")We lost the match 10 games to 3. We were in third place in the League overall, going into the nights match.
Arlan Nelson subbed for Doug who had to work out of town that day. Don Opened the night with a "HatTrick" in the first game of 301, and won the first game with a 4 round out.
Next match is at "Brewsky's North against S.N.A.K. Pack. We hope to have Doug back and play better.

UPDATE 10/30/98 :
We played Brewsky's N. "S.N.A.K. pack" Thurs 10/29 and had some problems
getting started when Doug didn't show up. Christi was not able to make it either.
Arlan subbed for Christi. We played the match without Doug, since he didn't make
it and we couldn't reschedule. We decided to play short one player was better than forfitting
the whole match. Anyway, we lost 10 to 3 again. The all women team, played very well against
the three men and a ghost player. When we started the night, we were in 5th position in the league
and they were the 6th place team. We talked about getting one more sub for the team. Next week
we will host the "Sharks" from Big Red Keno, at our home bar "THE N ZONE".

UPDATE 11/6/98 :
We are now in sixth place this week, out of seven teams that's not too good.
At least everyone was able to make it to the match and play. We won last nights match against Big Red Keno "Sharks". They are
in seventh place. We won 8 games to 5. Next week we travel to play T&C "Last Minute" They are currently the
team in first place. We hope to make the lead they have, less. Check back next week, and see how we do.
UPDATE 11/13/98 :
We are tied for 5th place this week. Congratulations to Doug Ely on being the "Darter of the Week" in Cricket.
We played against T&C "Last Minute" and won the nights match 7 games to 6. They were tied for first place with
the other T&C team "WMSBWSDAOB". We may have moved up to fourth place, maybe even third, after last night.
Next week we travel to BW3's to play the "Pile Drivers" again. They were in third place as of this week.

UPDATE 11/20/98 :
We are in 5th place this week. Congratulations to Doug Ely on being the "Darter of the Week" in Cricket, again (2nd week in a row).
We played against BW3's "Pile Drivers" and won the nights match 7 games to 6. They were two games ahead of us,
before we started the night, and we still finished, 1 game behind them. We may have won the match, but they will remain 1 game ahead of us for now.(in the league standings)
Next week we are off for Thanksgiving. The following week is a bye for the team. So we will be Playing Patty's Pub Central "D.K." (Dart Killers)
in three weeks at our home bar "The N-ZONE" Bar & Grill.

We still are in 5th place this week.
We played against Playing Patty's Pub Central "D.K." (Dart Killers), at our home bar "The N-ZONE" Bar & Grill
and lost the nights match 7 games to 6. They were in third place overall, (in the league standings)
Next week we are traveling to The Town & Country Saloon to play WMSBWSDALOB, they are currently the team in first place.

UPDATE 12/18/98 :
We still are in 5th place this week.
We played against The Town & Country Saloon to play WMSBWSDALOB, at Town & Country
and Won the nights match 7 games to 6. They were in first place overall, (in the league standings)
They were only one win ahead of the second place team (T&C Last Minute) at the begining of the night, and when the second place
finished their match, they came by to see how our match went. They told us they had won their match
against Big Red Keno "Sharks", 9 games to 4. That moves them back up to 1st place and the team we played is second.
In 3 weeks we are hosting Brewski's North "S.N.A.K. Pak" at our home bar "The N-ZONE" Bar & Grill,
they are currently the team in seventh place. We will have the next two weeks off for the Holidays. WE WISH ALL A HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON!!!

After a two week holiday break, last night we hosted "Brewski's North S.N.A.K. Pak" (curretly in 7th place)at our home bar "The N-ZONE" Bar & Grill. We won the night 8 games to 5.
They played well and we all had a great time. Congratulations to Doug Ely, he was "Darter of the Week" for Cricket. (Again) Next week, we travel to "Big Red Keno" to play the "Sharks".
They are in 6th place and we are still in 5th place in the league overall. That's all the news for this time, check back next week for the next update.

We traveled to "Big Red Keno" to play the "Sharks". They are in 6th
place and we are still in 5th place in the league overall. We won the nights match 8 games to 5.

"T&C Last Minute" the team that is in first place. We won the nights match 11 games to 2.
We played a little better last night and they were having a hard time, and they had a sub playing for
one of the regular players on their team. Next week we are at our home bar "The N-ZONE" Bar & Grill
again and we will host "BW3's - Pile Drivers" and start the last third of our leauge season.
We hope , that when the new stats are posted, that we moved up in the team standings. With the big night we had last night,
we know that the first place team we played will not be first next week. I think maybe we moved up to fourth at least.

We played at our home bar "The N-ZONE" Bar & Grill and hosted
BW3's "Pile Drivers". We played some tuff games, but came away the victors again with 8 games won.
Congratulations to Doug Ely, he was "Darter of the Week" for Cricket last week. (Again, Good job, Doug!)
Due to the outstanding night we had last week, we moved up to fourth place
and T&C "Last Minute" moved down to third in the league division. The "Pile Drivers" dropped into fifth.
Next week we have a bye, but the week after, we will travel to Patty's Pub to play the "Dart Killers"
the team currently in second place. We hope to catch up with them and take over the second place spot
in the division. Only 5 nights left to play before the seasons over. Then, it's on to the annual city
tourney. That's all the news for this time, check back next week for the next update. *~*
UPDATE 2/5/99 :
This week we had a bye, but next week, we will travel to Patty's Pub to play the "Dart Killers"
the team currently in second place. We hope to catch up with them and take over the second place spot.
After we played BW3's "Pile Drivers" we moved ahead of T&C "Last Minute" by 1 win. T&C "Last Minute"
had a bye that night we played BW3's. So, after that night we moved into third place. ;-)

We traveled to Patty's Pub to play the "Dart Killers"
the team currently in First place. We won the night's match 7 games to 6. It was close towards the end of the night
and the "D.K.'s" were playing pretty good. They were supposed to play BW3's "Pile Drivers" last week, but the "Pile Drivers"
forfitted the night. So next week we will host T&C "We May Suck..." at our home bar "The N-ZONE" Bar & Grill.

UPDATE 2/19/99 :
We hosted T&C "WMSBWSDALOB" at our home bar "The N-ZONE" Bar & Grill
and gave them a very competitive night. We were not good enough though, they won the nights match 7 games to 6.
They are the team currently in second place. We are now in fourth place behind T&C "Last Minute". Congrats again to
Doug Ely! He was "Darter of the Week" in both 301 and Cricket last week. Way to go Doug! We will be
traveling to Brewski's North to play "S.N.A.K. PAK" the are still in last out of seven teams, but

Well, we traveled to Brewski's North to play "S.N.A.K. PAK". We had a great time agian and won the
the night 8 games to 5. We were in fourth place still and they were in 7th still. Congrats to Doug! He was the D.O.W.
in cricket and "301". Again, WOW!(he is DOW alot - see above) Anyway, Arlan was substitute for Lee and Jay Husband
was a substitute for Doug. Doug and Lee went to the "Motley Crue" show instead. (Can't blame them - they rock!)
Next week we will play at our home bar "The N-ZONE" Bar & Grill and Host Big Red Keno's
"Sharks". They are in sixth place right now. Only two nights left before the City Tourney.

UPDATE 3/5/99 :
We played at our home bar "The N-ZONE" Bar & Grill and hosted Big Red Keno's
"Sharks". They are in sixth place right now. We were in fourth place still. They had three subs
(the original team quit after they got kicked out of their home bar) We had some changes on our team too.
Doug was away on vacation in Colorado and Jay subbed for him. Christy left the team this week to move to Texas.
So. Arlan subbed for her. We were not playing very well last night and lost the night's match 8 games to 5.
We will have to "step it up" next week. We will travel to Town & Country to play " Last Minute", the team that is tied
again for first place with Patty's Pub. We have beat them before and hope to even things up. Check back next week, that's it for now.
UPDATE 3/12/99 :
This week we traveled to T&C to play "Last Minute". We gave it a good try, but they won the night's
match 7 games to 6. Arlan played for Christi and Jay subbed for Lee. Doug came back to play, after
missing the last two matches. Overall it looks as if we will finish the season in Fourth place.
Next week the City Tourney begins and then the Spring Leauge will begin. We are not sure if the Fire Eaters
will be playing in the Spring. Check back next week for details about how we do at the City Tourney.

UPDATE 3/22/99 :
This week we went to the City Tournament hosted by 1st Ave. Bar & Grill, Lincoln, Ne.
We played in the Level4 Open Crick01 Tourney on Sunday March 21, 1999. We WON!!! We ARE THE 1st place TEAM!
Here are some of the details. First, Lee could not attend because of other things that came up. Doug and Arlan and I were on time.
Carl Patterson (who plays on another N-Zone team) saved the day and subbed for Lee. First we played a "Round Robin" with four of the
9 teams who were playing. First we played Coach's "Odd Couples" and they won 3 game to 1. Then we played Big Red Keno "Sharks" and we won 4 games to 0.
The next team we played was West A Pub "S&M" and we won 3 games to 1. the last of the four teams in the "Round Robin" was Fat Pat's "No Bull" and
we won 4 games to 0. So at the end of the "Round Robin" the four teams to advance to the semi-finals were The N-Zone "Fire Eaters" with 14 wins,
West A "S&M" with 10 wins, T&C "Drinks Alot" with 10 wins and BW3's "Pile Drivers" with 6 wins. The first team to win 3 games wins the semi-final match.
The winner moves on and the loser moves to the loser bracket with one more chance to win.(double elimination) BW3's "Pile Drivers" were the first team we
played in the semi-finals. We won the match 3wins to 1. Next we played T&C's "Drinks Alot of Beer" and we won 3 to 0. Since we were undefeated we had a
bye the next round while T&C's "Drinks" played West A's "S&M" for second and third. West A's team won and moved up to play us. We played West A Pub's "S&M"
and won 3 games to 1. Congrats to all the teams who played you all played well. We all received trophies and had our picture taken for two
national Dart zines. (Watch for The Fire Eaters in the next issue of Throw Lines and The Bullshooter.) We won $175.00 too. It was a great time, for sure!
I hope we do as well next year. Well That's it for now, check back for news about the Spring Fire Eaters team in a couple of weeks.
UPDATE 9/12/99 :
Wow! I've been away too long. Just wanted to update things for you. The Fire Eaters continued to be Champions in their level. We played the Spring '99 season and placed second out of 9 teams competing. We won another $100.00 (no tropheys for Spring) Our team for the Spring season was: Don, Doug, Dave, and Arlan. Carl and Jay were subs. Everyone played well and we all had a great time. Doug palyed so well, he is no longer qualified to play with us at our level. He will have to join a team that will play at the "Masters" level. (too bad, we'll miss you Doug)
Now the Summer Season is over and again the Fire Eaters are #1! The Summer team players were: Jay, Carl, Arlan, and John. Subs were Don and Tonya. They all played well and we are looking forward to the 1999-2000 Fall-Winter Season. The Fire Eaters players will be: Don (captain), Arlan, Jay, and John. The subs will be: Carl and Lee. Watch for a new team pic and weekly up-dates of how we are doing.
