Just remember to hit your BACK BUTTON until you return here. To tell you about me, I was born April 8th, 1967 at Boone County Hospital in Albion Nebraska. My beautiful partner for life Chellona was born October 11th, 1977 at Bryan Hospital in Lincoln Nebraska. We enjoy life to the fullest and serving our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. From my background you can see that I like wolves. I have a tattoo of a wolf's head on the outer calf of my left leg with the logo "LONE WOLF" underneath of it. Why did I pick the logo "LONE WOLF," .I was single at the time and did most things alone.

I am a graduated English major from the University Nebraska Lincoln. I enjoy writing. It is such a powerful way to express yourself. I currently volunteer writing/editing out at Nebraska Game & Parks Commission. I enjoy the outdoors to the fullest. Whether it be just nature watching, bike path, snow skiing or hunting I enjoy it all. Other things that I enjoy doing are listening to music, basically any kind as long as I can understand the words, movies, people watching, surfing the web, helping others, spending time with family and friends, but most of all spending time with Chellona.

Chellona graduated from Union College with a degree in Nursing. She loves helping others and has made it her life long passion of doing so. She also loves the outdoors, especially hitting the bike trails with me when the weather is warm. In the Fall she's right beside me in the huntiing blind waiting for that big buck to wonder on by so she can try filling her tag along with me. Yes we both share the passion of shooting guns and hunting together. Chellona after completing Hunter's Safety applied for her first deer permit in the Fall of 2000 and havested a 2x2 mule deer buck. I was quite proud of her. Hopefully we will have many more successful hunts in the years to come. If you care to view past hunting photos just follow the link below by clicking on the photo. After viewing the photo album you will need to hit your back button however many times until you return to my web sight.

Hunting Album

God has blessed Chellona and myself with many wonderful things in our lives. Most of all the meeting of each other and becoming soulmates for life. We both lost a parent at a young age to a horrible disease. My mother who passed away from cancer and Chellona her father from cancer. You might say that's what drew us together most of all and our mutual share of love we share towards God. Chellona and I are both Christian, we love Christ and have no problem sharing his Word. Chellona started her growing up in California where her mother and father resided. Chellona moved back to Nebraska to live with her wonderful grandparents after her father Clyde passed away. Chellona attended Platte Valley Academy which is a private Seventh Day Adventist school just to the west of Grand Island. Chellona graduated from there in 1996. While at Platte Valley Chellona took an active roll both in sports and leadership. She played a forward and center on the girls basketball team and held the positions of Cultural Vice, Social Vice, and President of the student association. Chellona's most memorable experience at school was when she was baptized in the Platte river on May 18th, 1996.

I grew up in a small town called Cedar Rapids NE. Most have no idea where that is at. It is about 45 miles west of Columbus. The population was 450 people but it is slowly declining. I graduated from Cedar Rapids High in May of 1985. I could not attend my graduation ceremony itself do to a diving accident a month earlier which put me in the hospital and left me with a C4 C5 fracture on my spinal cord. Do to my stupidity of taking a dare the day after my Senior Prom I'm now in a wheelchair. But just because I'm in a chair doesn't mean that my life is over by any means but a whole new beginning. I don't like sympathy nor have I ever. I just ask people to treat me the same way you wish to be treated. I respect people for who they are on the inside not what they appear to be on the outside. So if you don't think that you could look me directly in the eyes while talking, don't bother wasting my time or yours. I like having fun and living life to the fullest each and every day. It is up to each person how he or she chooses to live it. God gave me a second chance I want to turn my accident into something positive helping others reach their goals showing them no matter how bad life seems someone else has it worse off than you or I.

In my picture below you can see a clear tray sitting in front of me that is what I place my books, letters, or whatever I need to look at on. It acts as my hands holding items since I have no use of mine. The next object you are probably wondering about is the little stick that angles up towards my face. A long golden rod with two rabbit ear prongs at the end. I place that between my teeth and type that way one key at a time. I know it sounds horrible and as though it would take a long time type up anything but in reality it is quite simple and doesn't take that long. I can type almost 3 pages an hour single spaced. Now to the little white straw you see up by my chin. That is how I drive my chair. I blow into the straw once which relays a breath command to the control unit mounted underneath my chair. After the first light breath it puts my chair into drive mode, then I blow into the straw lightly again and the chair starts driving on its own. I have 5 forward speeds so 5 light breaths puts me into high gear which I usually travel the bike path in. To turn right I blow into the straw lightly and to turn left I sip into the straw lightly. To stop I sip hard. Then to go into reverse I would sip hard once again. Sounds difficult but once again it isn't. So are you ready to see something that I enjoy? I thought so. Remember to hit your back button after viewing. This picture is me skiing up at Winter Park in Colorado. They seem to have the best facility for people with disabilities. I was the first guy in a wheelchair to go to the top of the mountain and come down a Blue. The fellow behind me holds onto those ropes to guide me left or right. We usually roll each time going down the mountain but I must admit by the second day around noon I've had enough skiing to last me awhile. You might say I love adventure. Most quadriplegics in chairs don't like the cold weather. I don't like it myself but I'm not going to shut myself inside during the winter months.
