Itchy and Scratchy are a cartoon spin-off of Tom and Jerry. They are so violent that even my stomach turns when I watch it. Springfield loves it, though. There was a stretch of time where Springfield youngsters began to tire of it, so the executives decided to bring in a new character named "Poochie" (voiced by Homer). However, Poochie bombed and got thrown off the show. But after Poochie, Springfield fell in love with Itchy and Scratchy once again.
