Homer J. Simpson is a man of little brain and massive hulk. He works in Springfield's nuclear power plant for C. Montgomery Burns. He is married to Marge Simpson, and loves her with a simple devotion. He also has a weakness for doughnuts, beer, and other sweet tidbits.
Once, he sold his soul to Devil Flanders for a doughnut. He ate the forbidden doughnut ("Mmmmm... forbidden doughnut...") and would have had to go to hell if Marge hadn't discovered that Homer had given his soul to her long ago. However, as a punishment, Flanders turned Homer's head into a donut.
Homer also loves beer to distraction. He speaks to his brain, saying, "Okay, brain, I don't like you, and you don't like me. Let's just work together on this one thing, and then I can get back to killing you with beer."
As previously mentioned, Homer works at the nuclear power plant. Occasionally, he screws up. Once, he gained 100 lbs in order to get on disablity, and he nearly blew up the city. Fortunately, before the vat of nuclear waste could blow, Homer fell on it, plugging the hole. Lisa pondered, "Wow, Dad's scheme to get on disablity actually may have saved the city." Bart replied, "Yeah, and for once, Dad's butt has prevented the release of toxic gases." This is more a job suited for Homer:

Homer loves to eat. 'Nuff said.
Homer also has a sensitive side. He tries to give advice to his kids. He comforts a crying Bart, saying, "There, there, shuttup, boy. Crying won't bring your dog back. That is, unless you start eating dog food and you eat so much dog food that your tears start to smell like dog food. So you can either start eating lots of dog food or you can go out there and find your dog." Bart, encouraged, says, "You're right, Dad!" and sets out to find Santa's Little Helper. Homer says, "D'oh! I almost had the boy eating dog food!"
Homer's favorite place to be is the living room couch, guzzling a Duff and watching "Night Boat." However, when Night Boat finds a channel so that he and Michael can chase the bad guys, the kids complain, "Every week there's a channel." "Or an inlet." "Or a fjord."

There was this one episode where Homer and Bart get into this 3d computer world. I only got to see the end, but it's cool to think of Homer in real life dimensions.
Homer is really a complicated character because he's so stupid. How can anyone be so stupid? I'm sorry, Homer, you're not that stupid.
Some may say that Homer is evil, but I still think he's funny.
