Vicki's performance was MUCH better this time around. When I saw her perform in 2004, it was at a PG-rated Scandinavian festival (see their website, www.hostfest.com). For those who have seen her perform live, you know that her performance is nowhere near being rated PG. She was asked to "tone it down," but still upset a lot of, ahem, uptight prudes. As a result, her performance was awkward and not very enjoyable.

This time around, Vicki performed at the Prairie Knights Casino on the Fort Yate reservation in Fort Yates, North Dakota. She only did one performance night, not two nights in a row like the last two times she did when she came to North Dakota (2003 and 2004).

I am pleased to announce she had a lot of new material, mostly during her Mama portion of the performance. She was a big hit with the audience and as usual, she sold out! It was a fairly large crowd...Not 20,000+ but maybe about 5,000 or so. Very nice turnout.

I had the opportunity to meet Vicki's son, Garrett Schultz, after the show. I had already met him the previous year at the H๘stfest but this year, I met him up close. He has a small part in his mother's performances, so he frequently travel to performances with his parents (Vicki's husband, Al Schultz, also travels with her around the country). I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Garrett -- one thing for sure, Vicki did a beautiful job of raising her children, while maintaining a career in show biz. Garrett was incredibly down-to-earth and when I asked to have my picture taken with him, he generously agreed to do so.

I really don't have much to add in the way of captions for the pictures, so I will let you look at them now. I have had issues in the past of people passing off my pictures as theirs on other websites. That is why I have an obnoxious logo on most of the pictures...I have made the logo less obnoxious this time around, but it is still going to be impossible to clone or smear it out. =)
