ABOUT COULEE HILLS FARM

Coulee Hills Farm is located 81/2 miles south of Esmond ND in central North Dakota. The farm is named for the Buffalo Coulee it's a large very slow moving creek about 1/4 a mile across. This coulee is a head waters of the Sheyenne River and is fed by under many underground springs that are open all year round. It is the site of Palmer Springs , one of the few stage stops and battle sites in ND. It has many native camp sites and remains of trappers and settlers sod homes. A place rich in native grasses, water and history. We feel very lucky to farm and ranch this land.We have over 2000 acres of pasture in the coulee.

Here on the farm we raise crops, cross bred beef cattle, Katachdin hair sheep, minature horses and milk and raise dairy cattle as well. The girls have mini rex and dwaft rabbits, arabian horses and aussie dogs. We even have a couple of buffalos, just for fun. With all the animal around we stay very busy and happy.

We have 5 dauthers, three have grown and moved away, but two still at home on the farm. All were or are very active in 4-H and FFA.We also have 3 grandauthers! Yes, my husbund Ron is greatly out numbered, and tells the stallions and bulls he knows just how the feel, dealing with so many females!

Our miniature horses are well bred and much loved. Good homes are a must! I keep the numbers down so each horse gets lots of TCL. All are up to date on all shots, worming, and farrier care. All horses are registered with one or more minaiture horse assocations. StaRTING IN 2007 All OUR foals will be registered with World Class Miniature Horse Reg only. This is a fun family oriented registry.

I'm been very picky about my horses. Conformation is the first thing I look for. Then comes bloodlines, next aditude then color. All our mares have either have been shown themselves or out of parents who have been shown. Many are out of national champions sires. Our stallions have been and are shown and both place very well. Each holding Grand and Res Championships in both halter and color classes. We do show a couple of foals each year and are always pleased with our placings.

Bred the best and hope for the best! And we are very pleased with our foals this year! Both foals shown placed Res Cahmpion in ther classes!

Please take a look at my site and see if there is anyone you like and feel free to contact me about them, or stop by, we are almost always home.(darn milk cows:)) I always have plenty of photos of each horse that is for sale as well as thier sire and dam. And being a 4-H leader for 20 years give discounts to homes with childern!!

Good thinks come in small halters!!
