 Ears is planned on being
gelded in April. Pictures were taken in November 2003. |
Lucky Snowflake (nicknamed Ears ) was born March 12,
2001. He was born far too early in the year for the North Dakota winters up
here. But the little guy pulled through, but not without having the very
tips of his ears frozen off earning him the nickname of "Ears". Ears is my
baby. The very day he was born, his mother brought him up to us and showed
him off. Later that night, we had freezing rain and a snow storm. The next
morning I didn't expect him to be there alive, but he was. However he did
end up paying for it with the tips of his ears. Ever since the first day he
has been my dream horse. He halter trained perfectly. Let you walk up to him
at any time, never kicked and never bit. He was named Lucky Snowflake.
"Lucky" for it was pure luck he survived the "snowstorm". Thus came about
his name. However it is his nickname "Ears" that everyone calls him by.
Ears played several roles on our ranch. He saved one of my mares from being
killed by a mountain lion. However, she was so beaten up, she died three
months later.
Ears was then moved to my trainers farm with the injured mare, where he took
place in teaching young kids how to work with horses. Ears has just returned
back home finally after being away from the farm for a year and a half. I plan on having him gelded in April along with his
younger brother November Rain, who is also still on our farm.

Orlandos HidNTreasure was born June 2, 2003. Orlando is
out of Century Sage and Thunder Double Bid. He is a dark bay tobiano colt
and it almost looks like someone forgot to paint his other side. I plan on
keeping him for a riding gelding and hoping on barrel racing with him in the
future.
Orlando's name has a meaning behind it. I happened to be in Orlando,
Florida when he was suppose to be born, however by a breeding error, we
found out that he was breed by my stallion (Thunder Double Bid) when we had
tried to breed to an outside overo stallion (Karmas Kadilac). So three weeks
later, he finally arrived after I got back from Orlando, Fl. He was a
special surprise for me because I had lost my favorite mare, Stormy
Sensation, to a mountain lion attack the year prior. Orlando, being the
offspring of Thunder Double Bid, ended up being a full sibling to Stormy and
that's how the name HidNTreasure came about because we didn't know about him
until he came out a tobiano.
Just like Stormy Sensation, Orlando came out a dark bay color and has
the same attitude that she had.
Orlando may be the last paint foal I breed out of Century Sage &
Thunder Double Bid.

April 2002
November Rain was born April 3, 2002. His dam is Foxie
Kaleidoscope and his sire is Thunder Double Bid. November is a black tobiano
colt. I plan on keeping him for a riding gelding also. November is a full
brother to Lucky Snowflake "Ears", and like Ears, he too also had his tips
of his ears froze off. However, they aren't as bad as Lucky's ears.
November is almost as big as Ears now. However, November
Rain has inherited his sires heavy muscles and deep chest. Winter
pictures were taken November 16, 2003 when November Rain was a yearling. Is
listed For Sale.
