My comments on the Real World Reunion 2000
To those of you who didn't see it this reunion included the casts of RW Miami, RW Boston, RW Seattle, and RW Hawaii.
It took place at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
RW Miami
Dan - Lives in Chicago and works as a model scout
Flora - Claims she now works as a trapeze artist and she's now married to Mitchell
Melissa- Now a juggler
Cynthia - works for the California Music Channel
Sarah - toured with the Lilith Fair (where I met her!) and the Family Value's Tour
Mike - Moved to L.A. and works as a Private Investigator
Joe - started "Joe's World" foundation, wrote the book, and broke up with Nic
MY COMMENTS!!!
Dan looks better than he did on the show but I don't like his new attitude. Flora looks better but she still seems like a bitch.
Melissa and Flora both claim to work in the circus. All I can say is - Is this really true or are they smoking (or drinking) something?
Cynthia seems cool and looks about the same. Sarah looks exactly the same.
Mike is looking better than ever and has a real career too! Joe seems to have a future but he looks like a ugly nerd now.
RW Boston
Elka- is still going out with Walter and is a senior at UNLV
Jason - cast RW Hawaii and started his own internet company
Kameelah - Senior at Stanford and is applying to Medical School
Genesis - got Married to her girlfriend Paige
Syrus - designs video games
Sean - married to Rachel (RW San Francisco) and has a daughter, Evita or Lolita or something like that.... He has a law pratice in Wisconsin
Montana wasn't there but lives in San Francisco and works in Public Reltions.
She looks the same too.
MY COMMENTS...
Elka looks a lot different now - like a peace hippie flower child.
Jason looks like a stoner.
Kameelah looks a lot better now, and claims she's more patient which is a good thing if it's true!! I'm glad Genesis is happy but I think she looks scary now with her long hair and her slutty clothes.
I liked the old Genesis better. Syrus is pretty much the same.
Sean looks cute now. More preppie looking but still cute. He seems more mature now too.
RW Seattle
Nathan - left VMI and now doing films - Wicked Spring & Tangy Guacamole (nice names!) Also, broke up with Stephanie.
Rebecca - sings in a band, modeled for Abercrombie and Fitch & and studied in Italy
Stephen - graduating from Berkeley, and working with some internet company or something like that
Janet - freelance writing and graduating from Northwestern in June
David - graduated from VMI but not doing that much, or at least he said
Lindsay - graduated from Michigan and going "with the flow" right now
My opinions.....
Nathan looked cuter on the show but he doesn't look terrible or anything. Rebecca looks good - bot one question. Did she get a nose job or something cause it looks all smooshed and crooked now and I hope she's not trying to become like Michael Jackson.
Also, her music kinda scared me but I guess to each her own. Stephen looks the same but I didn't like him then and he doesn't seem to have changed that much personality wise.
Janet has longer hair but she doesn't look that bad or anything. David seemed pretty much the same.
Lindsay has longer hair and looks and acts more grown up now.
Irene wasn't there unfortunately. It said that she graduated from school and lives in the San Francisco Bay area. It also said she continues to speak about Lyme Disease. She looks exactly the same now.
She's still controversial and seems angry at the world.
RW Hawaii
Teck (via satellite from Albany, New York) - finishing film "Life's Sweet"
Ruthie - graduating in May from Rutgers and broke up with Jess last year
Justin - back at Harvard Law School
Kaia- she's writing now (whatever in the hell that means...)
Amaya - graduated from UCLA and is now working. She's "moved on" from her relationship with Colin.
My Comments....
Teck looks and acts the same - annoying as hell. I'm scared, as I was then.
Ruthie looks great. Not sure if she's changed her lifestyle though. Justin looks good now - now that his hair isn't dyed 50 different colors.
Kaia is on crack! Her glasses looked really scary and nothing she said made much sense.
Amaya seems more mellow now and she looks great too. I actually like Amaya now - wow, never thought I would say that.
Matt and Colin weren't there (and I wish they were!) but Colin is going to co-star in an upcoming NBC sitcom
and Matt works as an assistant on "NYPD Blue."
Overall comments....
Although I liked this reunion, it was not as good as the last one. The last one showed more interaction of the people from different casts hanging out before and after the actual show
Maybe it was boring cause there wasn't a "Puck" there. I don't know. If Irene was there thing's could have gotten interesting.
The only thing I'm wondering now is if there going to have a Road Rules Reunion cause that would be pretty cool...
