My Best Friend, Enemy
BACK
To those who have friends,
There is one whom you like the best.
Always knowing, always caring.
Never putting them to the test.
I once had a friend.
He was one I trusted with all.
Time went by and things changed.
Our friendship began to fall.
No longer could he keep a secret.
No longer I would tell.
This what it came to.
Friendship falling into hell.
Our dislikes ignited into an inferno.
All of our anguish tearing us away.
All was lost and gone.
Our souls edges becoming frayed.
Once my friend, now my enemy.
A constant war that will never die.
Friends pleading for it to stop.
With each frightful battle cry.
Longer and longer the battles raged.
Knowing fully neither will fall.
So how can you stop such aggressed anger?
Please God, stop this terrible brawl!
I want it to end.
To leave in peace, but I find no door.
I have lost everything of all.
Like the raven’s cry, “Nevermore.”
I am forgiving, but he is not.
All of my friends choose to deny me.
They take his side in all to come.
But no wrong I have done them that I can see.
An outcast, a reject is what I come to be.
I see my life slipping through a crack.
What should I do?
I want to go back!
My social world at an end.
How could I go on?
Slipping on a downward spiral.
A new day would never dawn.
Going, going, gone.
Friendship dies and breaks your back.
You fall to deception.
Vision fading to black.
Now you know what will happen,
When you meet the river bend.
Face down the demons.
Never lose a friend.
Cry on, cry all you want.
Now you know the story of what happened to me.
Don’t let this happen to you.
Your best friend . . . Enemy…
