Here's my new Tattoo from August 8th 1998(Sturgis, S.D.)
This is me and Bob Montagna my Artist posing for post surgery shots, notice the shirt in the background!
Why did I decide on a Tattoo of a Native American? Well, I had been searching for something I would want on me for the rest of my life and did not find anything for aprox. a year and a half. I have a small percentage of Blackfoot Indian in me so I figured that is something to be proud of. The only problem is that I could not find any pictures of my ancestors that I liked because most of the pictures I found were takin fairly recently or were artist depictions of what the Blackfoot Indian would look like. Well if you don't know already I traveled to Sturgis, South Dakota with my parents for Bike Week, little did I know I would finally find what I was looking for. I did not expect to get a Tatoo for a long time, I was not really even thinking about the idea. We have alot of friends that travel to Sturgis every year from all over the country. There happens to be a couple from New Mexico, Dennis, Leta, and their son William Le Blanc, who are Natives of the Pueblo Nation. To make a long story short, one day Dennis was wearing the shirt in the picture and I saw the design on it, which happened to have been painted by another Pueblo Indian, and knew right away that that was what I wanted on my arm for the rest of my life. I asked him if I could barrow the shirt, ofcourse he let me and I went to town and made an apointment with Bob Montagna, who also happens to be the Le Blancs' new tatoo artist, and had my peice done. And thats how I decided on my Tat.
