A
friend of mine is sad today.
Because of a girl.
She broke up with him. (Can´t mention any names you know.
There´s a law in Sweden
against it.)
She said she had trouble with long-distance relationships.
Or so I´ve heard.
I don´t think I´d be writing about this under normal circumstances,
but I saw this happen. I talked to her before they got together,
and actually she pretty much seduced him.
True, they don´t live too close to each other. They couldn´t
meet
as much as they´d like.
But still, the girl I talked to before they got started wouldn´t
have
cared the slightest bit about that.
But now she did.
("Because yesterday,
she didn´t. And today, she does.")
That´s not really the point
though. The point is women, in general.
Yeah...it all comes down to women in the end, doesn´t it. (Of course.
I am male after all.)
It has happened to me too, and I started thinking about it when my
friend brought it up.
You are liked, maybe even loved, as long as you don´t pay it all
too
much attention.
But whoa boy, show her you do care, tell her you do love
her, and
she´ll leave you.
I´d like to think that the gap between the genders isn´t really
all
that unbridgeable. That we really aren´t doomed to be mysteries
to
each other. But for my life, I just can´t understand it.
Is that what they mean when they claim you´re choking her? Not
giving her enough room?
Or, do you ladies simply enjoy the hunt, but lose interest once
you´ve caught your prey?
Or, is it about the mystery of it all, surrounding this certain
man?
...You know, that same air of mystery that suddenly disappears, as
soon as Zorro removes his mask, smiles and says "I love You".
You know, I´m really trying to find a reason here, because
deep
down, I really don´t want to believe that nice guys do finish
last,
and that women really want pigs.
That would be a shame.
Really.
...And you can´t have Zorro without having Mr. de la Vega.
