From the fiery depths of hell came 5 ardent youths with a bone to pick with society. It seemed their perfect lives, posh houses, and stunning good looks weren't enough. Disfunctional Retch was born. Eventually they realized they lacked some very important things for a death -metal band- Instruments and Talent. As time passed Matt and Drew got guitars and Dave got a bass, but unfortunately their other guitarist, Jeremy, and Judd, their supposed drummer, were left behind in the flaming trail these boys were paving. Soon, a friend, who we'll call Nate, acquired a set of drums and S.O.I. (Sounds of Intensity) was formed. There were no set places, so all members alternated places in one of the greatest punk/HC bands in history. Eventually, and fortunately, they realized no band could succeed without balance and a set musical genre, so something had to change, also a new name was in order... After much dwelling a moniker was chosen - New Direction -, which consisted of Dave "The Punisher" on vocals, DrewDirection on bass, The Notorious M.A.T. on guitar, and Nate Edge on drums. The Straightedge Hardcore legacy was born and has remained the same ever since...
