The Crystal Palace

The next morning, Rosa was fine again, but was acting strangely. She wasn't her usual cheery self. She was very quiet and in deep thought. Every couple minutes, she seemed to zone out. She looked like she was keeping something to herself.

After breakfast, they all prepared to leave for the crystal palace. They took a secret passage (previously made by Silver) into the Crystal palace to avoid going into the front door, where armies of undead would take them down. when they got to the end of the tunnel, they are taken on by a large group of zombies.

It didn't help much they the started to have an arguement while in the middle of the group of zombies. Not too long after they encountered the zombies, something odd occured before them. A great Hydra appeared out of thin air and started to attack both the zombies and themselves. In the middle of the confusion, a man walked up to Dart. Strangly confused and disoriented, he asked Dart where they were. He didn't get much of an answer. In a last ditch effort, he did something that he reluctantly does. He teleported them to another floor of the crystal palace, unfortunately causing Dart to become sick.

After a moment for regaining their composure and orientation they proceded to explore the new floor of the crystal palace. After awhile they stumbled upon a man apparently being beaten up by someone or something. Deciding to help this man, they intervene only to fight the thing themselves. The thing turned out to be Abyss. After a short fight, it decided to take a different form. One of Dart. Using a Dart's Fireball attack, he easily knocked everyone down but not out. It didn't take much more to convince Abyss to take a different form. He turning into the man known as James. Once again nearly losing he decides to summon up a powerful attack but fails when his state of minds makes him summon up his own version of the Hydra that previously appeared with the man. With another short battle with the Hydra he decides to take control of a body near by. One of Leo, and he flew off in a hasty escape.

With this fight over, Dart suggests finding the Library. Some doubted such a place existed in a place like that but they still headed off to find it. About a half an hour of exploring, and nothing major occured until Leo/Abyss appeared once again. But something odd occured. A pain clenched Rosa but after a moment she was feeling a little better but she seemed different. She sent out a white light that transformed Abyss/Leo back to his original form, temoraraly keeping Abyss under control. Rosa then collapsed. Luckily Vida/Silver had a potion on hand that helped heal Rosa. Leo then just dissapeared.

James clearly unhappy with unexpected visitors decided to go on and scout ahead for anything else. At first, he went off alone, because he didn't wait for anyone to respond to his offer to see if anyone would like to join him. While continuing through the halls, James got a little ancious and started to speed up and lost Icelander, that was about the time he stumbled upon a room with something or someone standing in the door way. In his normally casual manner, he called out to him. He got his attention but wasn't what he expected. The look he got from the creature put chills down his spine. Apparently there was a woman in there too but he didn't see her until she reached him. She tried to turn his attention away from James but failed to do so as she was tossed aside like a rag doll, then proceted to taunt James. And one thing James doesn't like, is being taunted. In mid attack, she stopped James and told him that the thing he was doing wouldn't do any good. Not exactly knowing what else to do, he proceded to ask her if she knew. Obviously distracted, the zombie decided to attack. He grabbed James, which basically paralized him, and bit his left arm, almost terminally poisoning him. The woman grabbed James and ran off in the midst of the zombie laughting. They ran for some time, making sure that it didn't follow and took a rest to check his wound. The poison was spreading, and already affecting his body terribly. They successfully slowed the poison but was far from remedying it. Afterwards, James found out that the girl that he just met didn't know her own name. Apparently she has somekind of amnesia or something but he was going to help her try to remember. They decided that staying there wasn't exactly a good idea so they proceeded to find the others.

Upon meeting the others, the girl imediately blurted out something when she noticed Rosa and Dart then ran, crying. James turned and chased after her. When he caught up to her, she started to tell him her worries. Something was bothering her badly but she didn't know why. James decided he would give her a name until she regained her memories. Now that she had a name to go by, she was able to use her magic. Claris played a song that started to heal James's wounds, stopping the poison, for now.

Meanwhile, in a different area, the main party found the library only to see Leo in almost a state of panic. He pleaded for them to leave before he lost all control over himself but it was too late. The fight had begun. The first thing it did was to grab James and throw him across the room, into a bookshelf, causing it to fall over. Now Silver decided to attack amongst the infighting between Leo and himself(Abyss). He easily took in the hit.

Abyss was getting bored so he decided he would go dimension hopping, but before he proceded to enter another dimension, Leo got a little control over himself and yelled at Dart to find a book similar to the one he was holding. Abyss, obviously upset at what Leo had just done, decided to forget about it and continue with what he had planned. To destroy every dimension he enters.

After a little bit of searching, Dart a book caught his attention. The Legend of Stormfire. Dart decided it was time to go home so he led them up to the fifth floor without a single encounter. It was quiet, too quiet. Vida was the first to figure out that there was something there. A creature named Fenra. After a very lengthy and tiresome battle, the Fenra was finally defeated by Claris/Erelyn when she gave off an huge explosion of light. Shortly after an eagle appeared and after Claris expelled the light, she collapsed. Dart proceeded to create the portal back home picked up Claris and proceeded through the portal.
