Salamandastron

Salamandastron begins with a badgermaid called Mara, adopted daughter of Lord Urthstrirpe of Salamandastron. Mara decides to roam freely despite the cautions of her protective father. While she is out with her hare friend Pikkle Ffolger, they encounter a young, innocent looking, blue-eyed weasel named Klitch, and his ferret follower, Goffa. Mara and Pikkle quickly become friends with the duo, but little do they know that Klitch is the son of Ferahgo the Assassin. Meanwhile, at Redwall Abbey, the Redwallers are preparing for the nameday feast, when they would name the summer. During the preparations two runaways from Ferahgo the Assassin’s horde Dingeye and Thura, find Redwall and beg to be let in. They are let in as long as they abide by the abbey rules, soon they become accustom to Redwall life. On the day of the feast a great storm comes and the feast and the sports are taken inside. But redwaller Tudd Spinney left his glasses outside so he sends two young redwallers outside to get them. Samkim the squirrel, and Arula the mole. When they get outside, lightning strikes the abbey roof and a glittering object falls off. The duo takes it inside and discovers that it is the legendary sword of Martin the Warrior! That night Dingeye and Goffa sneak out to play with the sports equipment. By accident they accidentally shoot Brother Hal. They grab Martin the Warriors sword and Run away.
