Outcast Of Redwall

The story begins with a young badger that is held captive by the evil ferret Swartt Sixclaw. While traveling with Swartt and his band of outlaws he encounters a hawk that fell out of his nest and froze to the tree. The badger quickly frees the hawk and the hawk frees him. The hawk introduces himself as Skarlath. Then the badger breaks off a low hanging branch and storms in to the camp. He swings the branch at Swartt but only hits his six-clawed paw. Skarlath then convinces the badger to run, and they do. The badger introduces himself as Sunflash, son of Bella of Brockhall. Swartt decides to pursue Sunflash, to get revenge for crippling his six-clawed paw. Swartt soon comes upon Redwall and quickly Redwall is under siege, in the battlefield his young son, only a babe, is lost. After the battle, the young mousemaid Bryony finds him. She soon names the ferret Veil, because his past is veiled in mystery. But as Veil grows older he grows more biter until he becomes the outcast of redwall, after trying to poison a friar.
