Chapter Two - Making the Video
"I would like to pick..." As Nick starts, Taylor is expecting Nick calling out her name. "My pick is gonna be Lori."
Lori looks at Nick in shock. Before she can say anything to thank Nick, Taylor goes up to Nick.
"Excuse me, I would like to know why the heck I'm not better than that Lori over there." Taylor says.
"First of all, it's your attitude, I know you're pretty but you're not nice. Besides, I like girls that are natural, not with that much make-up... that's why I pick Lori. Based on what you guys say about yourselves. you were telling us about homecoming queen, but that was history... what Lori told us is what she is now... be real... you get it girl?" Nick says.
"You guys know what? I'm gonna be IN this video... it's just a matter of time." Taylor walks away with anger, Lori goes up to Nick and thanks him.
The video shoot is going to last for 3 days. Both Lori and Jennifer cannot fall asleep at night. They are too excited about working with the Backstreet Boys for the following three days.
THE NEXT DAY
Once Lori and Jennifer arrived, they were brought to the dressing room. Professional stylists and make-up artists are there, helping them to get the best appearance on the video. The Backstreet Boys are shooting the video for their new single "Too Much Love." When Lori and Jennifer are ready, they were brought to the Boys.
"Ok... girls are done, excellent... and the Boys are ready. Good, let's start!" Michael said. "First of all, Boys, get your girl and hold them from the back..."
Nick goes up to Lori and said, "Good morning... you look beautiful."
"Thanks." Lori said. Then she feels Nick's arms around her waist. As the music starts, Lori could hear Nick singing to the song right next to her ears. It seems like he is singing to her alone.
"Alright, good take." Michael said. "Let's get prepare for the next scene. Boys and girls, get a rest and we'll be ready soon."
Lori sits down while Jennifer goes out to make a phone call. The song "Too Much Love" is still playing, filling the whole entire warehouse they're shooting the video in. Lori starts humming to the song, and later, she starts to sing along with it.
NIck sits himself down right next to Lori. Lori is singing to the song with her eyes closed. Nick looks at her and listens to her sing. Once Lori opens her eyes, she sees Nick looking at her, her face blushes immediately.
"You sing good... I mean really good..." Nick said.
"You're kidding..." Lori said.
"No... I'm serious..." Nick said.
"Thanks. That means a lot to me." Lori smiles.
Once they get back to the set, they start to shoot for a few more scenes before the day is over. Nick notices a crew member of theirs, Jason, is always staring at Lori when she's on the set with Nick. Although Lori doesn't seem to notice that, Nick is pretty sure that he's looking at Lori.
KIMBO WAREHOUSE -- 12:06 AM
"Alright we're done for the day. It's kinda late now... we're gonna start tomorrow morning at 9 sharp." Michael announces.
Lori is saying bye to everyone while Jennifer goes up to her, "Lori!!!"
"What's wrong Jen?"
"My sister got in trouble again, she's home and there's like this huge fight going on now... I gotta go now." Jennifer says.
"Alright... don't worry about it... I'll get home myself." Lori said.
"Sorry Lori... I can't go home with you..." Jennifer said.
"Jennifer, just go now... I'll get Lori home... don't worry." Nick said while he's standing behind Lori.
"Thanks so much Nick... bye guys!" Jennifer runs to her car and drives away.
"Bye!" Lori and Nick said.
Nick turns to Lori, "sorry, I shouldn't be listening to what you guys are saying... I was just walking over to say bye to you guys." He said.
"Nah... that's okay... it's not like top secret or anything." Lori said.
"So... you ready to go?" Nick asks.
"Sure... thanks a lot." Lori said as they get on Nick's Mercedes CL 500 convertible.
