"Don't worry. The patient didn't hit her head too hard, no big harm done to her head, she's fine."
All of them relief. They all go to Michelle's room but she has not wake up yet, due to the medications used in the ER.
"Why don't you guys go home first? I'll stay here with Michelle." Brian suggests. So everybody left, Brian stay the whole night, he is very tired, he is holding onto Michelle's hand and he fells asleep.
~ 7:30 am ~
The sun is so bright. Michelle's eyes slowly open. She feels someone's hand holding onto hers. It's really warm. She slowly sits up and finds Brian asleep. Brian wakes up when he senses Michelle's movement.
"Michelle, are you feeling better?" He rubs his eyes with his other hand, he never let go of Michelle's hand.
"Yes. I'm fine Brian. hmm... you stay here with me all night?"
"Yea... look Michelle, it doesn't matter, as long as you're okay."
Michelle is so touched by what Brian had done and said to her, deep in her heart, she has to admit that she has feelings for Brian, just that she don't wanna show it.
~ LAPD headquarter -- 10:00 am ~
Michelle has return to work a month after her injury.
"Michelle, can you come over for a sec?"
"What's up Nick, Lori?"
"Did Melissa tell you anything about Kevin and her?"
"No, what's wrong?"
"We just notice that Kevin seems to take files up to the computer department a lot... he used to give them to Nathan and let him handle the files..."
~ Lunch time -- 12:00 pm ~
Michelle and Lori drag Melissa out for lunch. While going to lunch, Melissa's cell phone rings.
"Hello? oh... hi... I'm having lunch with Michelle and Lori, I'll call you back okay?... love ya too! bye!" She hangs up with a big smile on her face.
"hmm.... something is wrong here..." Michelle says, "is that Kevin just now?"
Melissa just nods her head.
Lori is very happy for Melissa. Kevin is a great guy. But these past few days, she always has an uneasy feeling. She don't know why, she feels that something bad is gonna happen. Nothing is wrong so far, Nick and she have been going out for more than 4 months now, they really love each other, there are no problems between them at all.
~ LAPD headquarter -- 1:15 pm ~
As they enter the office, they see everyone looking at them with a weird facial expression.
"Hey guys, anything wrong? something on our face maybe?" Michelle asks, having no clue what's going on.
Nathan and Ethen pushes Nick forward. Nick slowly walks up to Lori. "Lori, we wanna tell you something... hmm..." Nick seems like he cannot speak out to Lori.
"Nick, baby, are you okay? What's wrong? You guys are scaring me."
Nick brushes his hand through his hair. "Gosh... I cannot say it."
Kevin goes up to Nick and Lori. "Let me handle this guys." He then turns to Lori. "Lori, you gotta be prepare for this."
"Okay..." Lori is really worry about what's gonna happen. Nick sees this, he put his arms around her waist from the back.
"Lori..." Kevin finally speaks out, while everybody else stay quiet. "I'm sorry to inform you that you cannot participate in the next operation, which is taking down the big boss behind the whole drug dealing case."
"May I know the reason why?"
"... Because a few weeks of secret investigation, we found out that your dad is involved and he's very possibly the big boss." Lori couldn't get her mind together. She cannot believe what Kevin just told her. She just keeps on mumbling "No, this can't be true..." Tears start running down her face. She finds herself hard to stay in front of everybody, especially Nick. She rushes out from the door, Nick wants to go after her, but Brian and Kevin stops him.
"Give her some time Nick." Kevin gives Nick a tab on the shoulder.
Lori comes back after half an hour, before anybody have a chance to talk to her, O'Keefe calls her to his office.
"Lori, I'm really sorry for what had happen to you... ... "After O'Keefe talks to her, he hands her a white envelop...
