                                       720fa-???? series

Ladies and Gentlemen: we are proud to bring you latest in Sims hair fashion. Get that just coiffed look everyday (even while swimming) with these very detailed meshes. And the best part? You don't need any additional texture files! Any c001fa texture will work on these meshes.

Furthermore, as most complex meshes (especially of this detail) would require several cross-referenced .skn, these have just one. Also, the meshes have been considerably chopped down in 3d Studio in order to get them to a more practical size, SIMply speaking.

Caution should be exercized when using these skins. While no problems have been reported with these smaller files, use them sparingly in the game in order to maintain optimal performance. All precautions have been taken in order to insure that these are safe and usable for the Sims, but problems always arise somewhere.

Therefore, Fionn nor any of the other Simfreaks contributors may be held responsible for any damages that these files may cause to your version of the Sims or resulting computer problems. We will be happy to give advice regarding their use.

Directions: use Simshow.
place all .bmp's in your xx/Sims/Gamedata/Textures directory.
place all .skn and .cmx in your xx/Sims/Gamedata/People 1 directory.
Run Simshow. Any c001fa file will work nicely into any of these meshes. Experiment with the hairtexturing and style that works best for each mesh, and export it from Simshow to the Gamedata/Skins directory.

The first six releases in the series will be followed by regular releases of new meshes every week for an unspecified amount of time. The first six are as follows:

c720fa_reallong: a nice long haired model with good forward waviness
c721fa_realcurl: a beautifully put together luxurious hair mesh. True Glamour.
c722fa_realchop: fashionable short hair with meshed out bangs. Very chic.
c723fa_realwave: nice dimensional and shaded effect. Notice the little lilt across the forehead.
c724fa_reallayer: shoulder length layered style. Looks like longer version of 723fa.
c725fa_realbiz: Kate Jackson style from Charlie's Angels. Neat, shoulder length.

					AND...

COMING SOON:

c726fa_realprom: Mixture of ponytail and realcurl mesh, this one will come with a tiara. Beautiful.
c727fa_realwet: Slightly flat, slightly dissheveled, very sexy.
c729fa_realtail: the poser character ponytail. Will have separate golden band.
c730fa_superlong: Smooth shape that cascades over shoulders. Luxurious and full. Clipping actually enhances the effect of this mesh.

A very special thanks goes out to Aladrin Kelahn. Without his help and constant guidance, these meshes would have gone unmade. Wherever you are Al, you da man.

Also thanks goes out to the good folks at Metacreations, who manufacture Poser, the program used to create the original .obj's for these meshes. And to the guest artists of various sites whose free hair models helped to provide inspiration (and some of the .obj) for these meshes. Thanks to the authors of the 3d Max plugin "PolyChop" for chopping down these meshes to a reasonable size. Thanks to Bil Simser for his advice and expertise during a hectic time for him. Finally, a thanks to Veronica, Heather, Kinsey, Jerome, and Bookgrrl for their beta testing. And a further thanks to Heather for providing a forum for my work. And thanks to you for caring. WHEW!
