Station 8 opened in 1976 on Hwy 98. In 1998 Engine 8 moved into the new Station 3 along with Engine 3. Station 8's new station opened in June 2005. Engine 8's 1st due area is made up of mostly residential homes, commerical taxpayers, and some apartment complexes.
Included in Eight's 1st due area is the Grove Park subdivision and golf course. As a result of the large growth in population in Eight's district they are busier than ever.
