ORGANIZED 1968

Station 6 opened in 1968. Engine Co. 6 is staffed daily with 3 firefighters and 1 officer. Station Six covers numerous large homes. The majority of the homes are affluent homes, with several of the homes valued at well over a million dollars. Station Six also covers several shopping centers including the new South Point Mall. This mall is the largest mall in central part of the state. Station Six has one of the largest districts geographically in the city and is rapidly becoming one of the most densely populated districts in the city. Engine Co. 6 has numerous apartment complexes in the their first due area. Station Six also covers parts of Interstate 40 and is equipped with extrication equipment. Engine Co. 6 a once slow company, is now busier than ever.
