Kevin was selected to serve as the department
first chief, and has remained Chief since that time

Kevin is a:
North Carolina Fire Fighter II,
An Emergency Medical Responder,
and North Carolina Level I Haz Mat Responder.
Kevin has completed the NFA Incident Command Course
and other command classes offered by
Fayetteville Technical Community College.
Kevin is a volunteer and a Full time Farmer.
For Many of the past years, Kevin has been the top
Responder in the department.
Kevin is employed as a farmer with
Herndon's Farms in Hope Mills.
He is married to Bonnie Herndon and togather
They have two children, Lisa and Cindy
and 3 grandchildren: Ryan, Emily, and Sidney
