Gray's Creek's Engine 1832


Engine 1832

This engine is a 2001 "Emergency-One" Pumper Tanker. Engine 1832 is the Second response Apparatus on Structure Fires, Vehicle Fires, HAZ-MAT incidents, or Automobile Accidents.
Engine 1832 is also first out on mutual aid response to other departments located in Cumberland / Bladen / Robeson Counties to be use as a Tanker in water shuttle or as a front line pumper if needed.

The engine responds with a 1250 GPM Mid-Ship Pump, with a top mounted pump-panel. The Booster Tank carries 1000 gallons of water. The Tank can be off loaded by use of a Jet-Assist Ames Quick Dump, located on the rear of the Engine. The 3" Refill intake is also located on the rear of the unit for faster refills at a draft site or when the tank is supplied by another unit.

Engine 1832 has a 30 gallon Class A foam cell with inducter build-in. The inductor supplies the engine's two preconnected 200 feet of 1.75" attack hose lines, laid in the cross lays for easy access, and the front bumper lay of 150 feet 1.5" attack hose. On the rear is a 200 feet of 2.5" attack line is also preconnect for rapid attack. There is 1000 feet of 2.5" / 3" supply hose and 400 feet of 4" LDH supply hose. Engine 1832 also carries a portable water tank with a 2000 gallon capacity.

The Engine main water supply is from a draft site using a Tanker water shuttle, a portable water tank and uses a 6" draft hose.
