The Pinecrest girls' soccer team's weekend at the beach began with a season-opening 2-0 victory over Jacksonville Friday night.      After a scoreless first half, senior midfielder Sara Cole found the Cardinals' net with a shot from 30 yards out about a minute into the second period. Molly Lynch scored the clincher on another long shot with about 15 minutes left in the match.      The junior varsity match between the teams ended in a 1-1 tie. Darcy Stanford scored the Patriot goal.      The Patriots headed south on Saturday to take on Wilmington Laney on the second leg of the trip. Both Patriot squads travel to Southeast Raleigh on Monday.
