Pinecrest tuned up for Monday’s home Mid-Southeastern Conference opener against Scotland County with a 5-2 victory in boys’ soccer at Lumberton Tuesday night.      After falling behind 1-0, junior Scott Martin scored twice with assists from Stephen Lacher and Joe Burger. A goal by Lacher, after a pass from Neil Perez, made the score 3-1 at the half.      Lacher (from Jonathan Gribben) and Perez (penalty kick) completed the scoring in the second half for the Patriots, now 3-2-1. Rashad Gatling and Jonathan Shute split the time in the net.      Lumberton, of the Two Rivers Conference, fell to 4-3. The Patriot junior varsity also won by the same score.
