Welcome to Eagle's Nest

All activities must be scheduled.  Group leaders need to check in with the caretakers upon their arrival.

FROM WILMINGTON:  Take I-40 West.  Take the Newton Grove exit (exit 341).  Go East on hwy 55 for about 15 miles to Mount Olive.  Go thru stoplight.  Go 0.9 miles to the first intersection (intersection of Indian Springs and hwy 55), turn left onto Indian Springs Rd.  Follow Indian Springs Rd. for about 4.9 miles.  Turn left onto Eagle’s Nest Rd. and travel 0.8 miles, the campground will be on the left. 

FROM FAYETTEVILLE:  Take I-95 North to exit 73.  Turn right onto hwy. 55 going east to Newton Grove (approx. 11 miles).  Go East on hwy 55 for about 15 miles to Mount Olive.  Go thru stoplight.  Go 0.9 miles to the first intersection (intersection of Indian Springs and hwy 55), turn left onto Indian Springs Rd.  Follow Indian Springs Rd. for about 4.9 miles.  Turn left onto Eagle’s Nest Rd. and travel 0.8 miles, the campground will be on the left. 

FROM KINSTON:  Take hwy. 55 west toward Mount Olive.  Go thru Seven Springs.  At intersection of hwy. 55 and Indian Springs Rd. turn right onto Indian Springs Rd.  Follow Indian Springs Rd. for about 4.9 miles.  Turn left onto Eagle’s Nest Rd. and travel 0.8 miles, the campground will be on the left. 

FROM ROCKY MOUNT/WILSON:  Take hwy. 301 south to hwy. 117 and go thru Goldsboro.  After you cross the Neuse River, at the first light make a left onto Old Mount Olive Rd.  Stay on Old Mount Olive Rd. until you come to the intersection of Old Mount Olive Rd. and Sleepy Creek Rd.  (about 3 to 4 miles).  Turn left onto Sleepy Creek and go 1 mile to the stop sign.  Go across Emmaus Church Rd. and travel 1 mile and turn right onto Eagle’s Nest Rd.  Travel 2.1 miles and the campground will be on your right. 

FROM SMITHFIELD:  Take hwy. 70 east to Goldsboro.  Exit right onto hwy. 117 south.  After you cross the Neuse River, at the first light make a left onto Old Mount Olive Rd.  Stay on Old Mount Olive Rd. until you come to the intersection of Old Mount Olive Rd. and Sleepy Creek Rd.  (about 3 to 4 miles).  Turn left onto Sleepy Creek and go 1 mile to the stop sign.  Go across Emmaus Church Rd. and travel 1 mile and turn right onto Eagle’s Nest Rd.  Travel 2.1 miles and the campground will be on your right.
