The Professional Fire Fighters of Durham, IAFF Local 668, represent all 300 plus uniformed members of the Durham Fire Department.

The proud men and women of Durham Fire Department station # 2, risk their lives daily to provide structural fire fighting, technical rescues, medical services (Advance Life Support), hazardous material response to the citizens and visitors of Durham.

We are fully aware of the extreme danger that comes with our chosen profession as fire fighters; we accept it wholeheartedly. We are proud and honored to have been chosen to serve this outstanding community.

Durham is the fourth largest city in North Carolina Has an Insurance Service Organization (ISO) rating of 3*. Rating is based on level of fire protection. Class 1 being the best and Class 10 being the worst.
