FIRE STATION 2

Station 2 opened at W. Main St.in 1902. The station closed in 1951 when it was relocated to Ninth St.
The station cost $7000 to build and was one of the finest in the country. The station included a hose tower and a state of the art floor design.
This station replaced the one that was located in an W. Duke and Sons Tobacco Company warehouse.
