January 3 Navy Shower – A navy shower (or "sea shower") is a method of showering that allows for significant conservation of water and energy. The steps in a basic navy shower are:

Turn on the water
immediately wet the body
turn off the water
soap up and scrub
turn the water back on and rinse off the soap
The total time for the water being on is typically under two minutes.

Originally the dominant religion of Greater Iran, after Islamic conquests of the 7th century, the largest indigenous population of them at in India (80,000). Based around a central conflict between Order & Chaos, which Order will eventually win & time will end.

January 7 The sounds of Wookies in Star Wars were created (by Ben Burtt) by mixing a blend of sounds from 2 bears, a walrus, a dog and a lion.

January 8 The space shuttle we currently associate with NASA & space travel, is a design that is being retired in 2010.
In it's place, Lockheed Martin is designing the Orion, which will sit in front of (as opposed to on top of) the launch vehicle (the Ares I, Ares IV or Ares V). The new "Crew Exploration Vehicle" should be transporting astronauts into space, the moon and possibly even Mars by 2020.

January 9 Technically, bananas are herbs. Just like technically, tomatoes are fruits.
