The Professional Firefighters of Durham (PFFD) IAFF L-668 Support Services focuses on meeting the immediate emergency needs of members and their families from other International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) locals during their time at Duke University Medical Center.
When cancer or a life threatening disease threatens or strikes, The Professional Firefighters of Durham can help provides shelter, food, firefighter escorts for the family, transportation, a soft shoulder, a friend, childcare and chaplain services during theses times. We can also help provide health and mental health services to address basic human needs.
In addition to these services, the core of The Professional Firefighters of Durham Support Services, is the assistance given to individuals and families affected by coming to Duke University Medical Center for treatment and to enable them to resume their normal daily activities while here in Durham.
