Damon Salvatore

Damon, Damon, Damon, does he ever tired of chasing the girl??? Of course not. Sigh, the elder yet shorter Salvatore. Dark, mysterious, handsome, and (in my own humble opinion) only borderline evil. Born centuries ago, Damon was a sweet little momma’s boy. Oh, yes, he did love his mother very much. Then that little brat Stefan had to come along and weaken her. Damon knew that his little brother’s birth was what eventually claimed the life of his mama. And for that he never forgave him…

As he got older and somewhat wiser, hey he did have servants to do his studies for him, he attended the University. He did spend his time drinking wine and chasing the ladies, but you have to give him credit for going. Upon a return to his home, he was planning on telling his father that he wasn’t returning to school. As he laid his sights upon young Katherine, his decision became set in stone. An added plus was that Katherine just happened to have caught the eye of his brother as well. To Damon this was the perfect revenge for Stefan killing his mother. Steal the woman of Stefan’s dreams.

If worked to a fault. Katherine was a vampire, and decided to make Damon her partner for eternity. All smug Damon was set to rub this in his brother’s face, until he learned that Katherine had gone to Stefan as well. Both a bit hard headed, they drew their swords, and Damon killed his brother. Unfortunately for him, Stefan had one last burst of strength and murdered him as well.

Believing Katherine to be dead, Damon awoke in the crypt and set out to conquer the world of darkness. He kept his sights on his brother though, not to look out for him, heaven forbid, but just to know… Years later, they both entered Fell’s Church, and you have to give Damon credit, he did see Elena first. She thought she loved Stefan, and not Damon. Silly girl. Damon used his powers on more that one occasion to lure Elena into his arms. And there she did go.

Upon plunging to her death, Elena awoke with enough of the brother blood flowing through her veins to emerge as a vampire. Then, even to Damon’s surprise, Katherine had returned, and overtook them all. Chained to the gate in the crypt, Damon was given the choice, join Katherine and rule the world, or die.

“Katherine, go to hell…” Said it all. And then, Damon, for once in his life had to watch helplessly as Elena threw herself and Katherine into the sunlight, saving both her Damon, and Stefan as well. He and Stefan returned to Florence Italy, and Damon indulged himself in many girls, those that Stefan pointed out resembled Elena. Then, after seeing Stefan summoned to Fell’s Church by Bonnie, Damon felt the need to go as well.

In the end, he fought for his brother’s honor, stepping in and helping in the fight against Klaus. All in all, though, it was the spirit of Elena who saved the again. Again, Damon stood by as Elena fell into his brother’s embrace. But this time, he knew that was where she belonged. Damon being Damon, retreated into the woods understanding it was meant to be, but not content to sit by and watch…
