Physical Description: one of the smaller members of the 2nd gen., and a little scrawny, Derrek is a light green with solid dark-green eyes; blue and white stripes band his chest, legs and arms like strips of cloth. Tail ends in a sharp hook. His wings are large and angel-like, and also tipped with blue and white. He wears a pair of tattered cutoffs and keeps a sawed-off shotgun with him.

Background: Once an Overlander also by the name of Derrek, he was born on the streets. One thin he learned was when you have friends, you're never alone. Living like this, he made several friends while on the streets. This lasted until he was accused of assaulting a woman. Those who were his friends stood beside him in saying he was innocent, but to no avail. he was taken to what he was told was a juvenile hall. The rest isn't clear, but when he came to, he was strapped to what looked like a dissection table. He was to be the next 'volunteer' for the echidnoyle project. When, the transformation was over, the others were introduced to their new clan mate, Derrek.

Other: Considered the 'peace keeper' of the clan, by the Masters, Derrek is rather different from the others. Unlike the other Echidnoyles, He refuses to kill. Even fighting is distasteful to him; a few shards of his old self that still shine through. He also has no special abilities. To compensate for this, he uses an old shotgun he found while on a flight. He decided to keep it and hides it from the Masters. Because of his hatred of combat he dreams of the day he can leave and put the clan behind him forever. He also enjoys playing the violin.
Recent events: Derrek had a run in with a few rouge Legionaries, he was severly wounded beyond normal healing abilities for echidnoyles. He now as cybernetic implants and replacements. His right wing is now metallic as is the top of his right forearm, the metal follows this pattern to his hand, ending in metallic clawed fingers. His chest is metal plated as well. His legs end in a pair of large metal boots and the entire top of his head (dreds, forehead, and right eye) are robotic, his dreds end in ulgy-looking blades. His robot eye glows a dull red and his tail is now metal, ending in a razor-sharp blade.
