White Oak (NC) Football
This web is designed to inform the readers of the happenigs in White Oak High School Football. is located just outside of Jacksonville, N.C. , on Piney Green Road. Our mascot is the Vikings and our colors are dark green and gold. Upcoming information will include the 2001 football schedule as well as a prospective roster. Senior noseguard, Travis Manigan, has accepted an invitation to play in the East/West footall game in Greensboro this July. White Oak will begin 2001 practice on July 30 at 6:00 pm. 7 starters will return on offense and 2 starters will return on defense. Offense starters include: Eddie Agans QB, Troy Meadows RB Ricky Newsome RB, Matt Hunt C, Kevin Riggs OG, Will Taylor TE, Calvin Warren R. Defensive starters include: Troy Meadows LB, Calvin Warren DB. White Oak will be in a new conference next season. After being Tri-champions in 2000 of the old Coastal 3A, theVikings will be part of the Mid-Eastern 3A-4A Conference next season. Conference teams will include Wilmington Ashley, Wilmington Laney, Wilmington Hoggard, Wilmington New Hanover, Pender, West Brunswick, and Jacksonville will be the last game of the season. Non-conference games will include West Brunswick, Swansboro, Kinston, and defending state 2A state champion Southwest Onslow. It should be exciting!
