Hi! My name is James and I live in North Carolina. This is all new to me so it may look a little bland at first, but I'm still working on it and I will add new stuff as time goes by. I've been detecting for about two years now. I did have a detector when I was about 7 or 8 yrs. old though. It was a toy, but it did detect metal. I remember finding a piece of melted lead out in the front yard of the house we lived at in Richmond, Va. I also use to follow the water pipes throughout the house! :o) The yrs. passed and passed, until I wanted another detector. Hinted to the wife and she got me a Radio Shack Micronta :o( LOL It did ok until my sensitivity knob messed up. Don't ever remember finding anything with it though. I hadn't aquired patience yet! LOL A few more yrs. passed and I wanted to give it another try (after watching my boss coming in every afternoon after lunch with 3 or 4 dollars everyday!) So I hinted to the wife again! She got me a Bounty Hunter LandRanger! Woo Hoo! I started finding some good stuff! I was hooked! I used that for about 6 months and decided I needed something with more depth. Called up my friend Dan and he talked me into The Tesoro Conquistador. Man I love it! I have found a few goodies with it, my favorite being a 1970 man's gold class ring. I also found the owner. I have also found a 1967 man's gold class ring recently also. I'm still in the process of finding the owner on that one. Well that's enough about me.
