Under Construction

Beans - See Magic Beans. (If the beans are not magic, I don't know WHAT game you've been playing.)

Blue Flame - COMING SOON

Bombs - COMING SOON

Bottle - Bottles come in very handy and require extra effort to obtain. With bottles, you can carry a bunch of items, including: bugs, fish, Lon Lon Milk, fairies, potions, poes, and blue flame. There are four bottles to collect throughout Hyrule.

Bugs - Bugs can be carried in bottles. Really, bugs only have one purpose in this game. Before you plant Magic Beans in the mounds of soil, drop a bottle full of bugs on the soil. When you do, a Gold Skulltula will pop out. Here's a hint: whenever you drop the bottle of bugs, quickly scoop one back into the bottle. The other bugs will still make a Gold Skulltula, plus you have bugs for the next mound of soil. You can find bugs under stones, or buy them in some town stores.

Compass - Compasses can be found in every dungeon, in a treasure chest. The Compasses are only used within the dungeons they are found in. When you have found the Compass, you can keep track of where you are in a room. On the bottom right hand side of the screen, a small red triangle indicates where you entered the room, and a small yellow triangle shows your current position. If there are chests in the your current room, the location is also indicated by a small chest icon. (You can press the L button to toggle the Compass items on or off the main screen.) You can also go to the map screen in the Start menu to see the locations of the chest in all rooms and also the location of the Boss' Chamber, indicated by a skull icon.

Cows - Cows are great. They are mostly found in Lon Lon Ranch, but can also be found in random places around Hyrule, like in Impa's House, a grotto on Death Mountain Trail, etc. In fact, if you challenge Ingo after you beat him for Epona, the prize is a cow. If you win and go back to your home in Kokiri Forest, a cow will be there waiting for you. When you play Epona's Song near a cow, they will give you Lon Lon Milk, as long as you have an empty bottle to put the milk in.

Cuccos - Cuccos are great fun. They're usually just scenary, put are sometimes integrated into the gameplay. For example, Malon gives you a cucco egg to wake up Talon. If you gather up all the cuccos for the cucco lady, she'll give you a bottle. The cucco lady will lady give you a special blue cucco, etc. Cuccos are fun in that you can hassle them. When you pick them up, then start flapping and squawking. But if you walk of a ledge while holding a cucco, you'll glide down to the ground. You can also slash the cuccos with your sword. But unlike past incarnations of Zelda games, if you hurt the cucco too much, it gets vengeful. It'll call out it's cucco friends who will start attacking you. And it really does take from your health meter. They will continue attacking you until you go to another area.

Deku Nuts - Deku Nuts can be used as weapons and are found throughout Hyrule from defeated enemies or town shops. Throw a Deku Nut at an enemy to stun it. While enemies are stunned, they are easier to attack. When the game starts, Link can hold a maximum of 20 Deku Nuts. Please go to the Upgrades Section to learn how to hold more Deku Nuts.

Deku Seeds - Deku Seeds are used with the Fairy Slingshot as a weapon. Because Deku Seeds require the Fairy Slingshot, they can only be used when Link is a child. Deku Seeds can be found throughout Hyrule from defeated enemies or town shops. When the game begins, Link can hold a maximum of 30 Deku Seeds. Please go to the Upgrades Section to learn how to hold more Deku Seeds.

Deku Sticks - Deku Sticks can be used as weapons and are found in many areas of Hyrules from defeated enemies or town shops. Hit an enemy with a Deku Stick to cause minor damage. Be careful, because the Deku Stick can break during attacks, making them unusuable. Deku Sticks can also be used to light torches. Take out a Deku Stick and hold it near a flame to light it, then place the stick near an unlit torch to light it. Be careful, lit Deku Sticks will burn out after awhile, rendering it unusuable. To avoid letting your Deku Stick burn out, press A to put the Deku Stick away. When the game starts, Link can hold a maximum of 10 Deku Sticks. Please go to the Upgrades Section to learn how to hold more Deku Sticks.

Dungeon Map - Dungeon Maps can be found in every dungeon, in a treasure chest. The Dungeon Maps are only used within the dungeons they are found in. When you have found the map, a blue outline of the room you are in will appear in the bottom right corner of the screen. (You can press the L button to toggle the map on or off.) You can also go to the map screen in the Start menu to see all the rooms and flip through the different levels of the dungeon. On the Start Map screen, the rooms you have already visited are shown in blue, and the room you are currently in flashes blue.

Fairies - Fairies can be carried in bottles, and fairies will come to be your dear friends. Fairies act like red potion in that they will totally restore your health meter. But they have the added bonus of bringing you back to life when your life meter is completely out. If you have a fairy in a bottle, when you die, it will bring you back. You can find fairies in fairy pools hidden through Hyrule. They are also sold in some town stores. A list of fairy pools (not to be confused with Great Fairy Fountains):

Fairy Slingshot - The Fairy Slingshot uses Deku Seeds to shot objects from a limited distance. The slingshot cannot be used without Deku Seeds. The Fairy Slingshot can only be used when Link is a child. It is found Inside the Deku Tree.

Fish - Fish can be carried in bottles. Fish play an even smaller role in the game than bugs do. You really only need fish at one point in the game, and that's to get into Lord Jabu-Jabu's Belly. You can find fish in shallow waters, like in grottos. You can also buy them from some town stores.

Gold Skulltula - Gold Skulltulas are special find just about everywhere in Hyrule. When you kill a Gold Skulltula, they leave behind a skull token. These tokens are the keys to breaking the curse on the House of Skulltula in Kakariko Village. The more tokens you collect, the more the curse is broken. Note: While killing the Gold Skulltulas may be easy, collecting the token is not always so. You may be able to kill the Gold Skulltula but are not able to reach the token until you have advanced further in the game. See the Gold Skulltula section for their locations and the prizes you can win from collecting the tokens.

Lon Lon Milk - Lon Lon Milk is an item that can be carried in a bottle. Lon Lon Milk restores Link's life energy. One gulp of Lon Lon Milk restores xxx (5?) hearts on the health meter. Each bottle of Lon Lon Milk holds two gulps. You can buy Lon Lon Milk from Lon Lon Ranch as a child, or get it from cows at any stage of life. To get it from cows, simply play Epona's Song near them and be sure to have an empty bottle ready.

Magic Beans - Magic Beans can be bought from the chubby blue muncher by the gate in Zora's Domain. The first bean will cost 10 rupees, but each sequential bean's price will got up 10 rupees. You may up to 10 Magic Beans from the salesman. To use the beans, seek out the "small mounds of soft soil" when Link is a child. Set the Magic Bean to a C button and use them while standing on the mound of soil. Return to the soil when Link is an adult and a hover plant will have grown, allowing Link to reach new places and goodies.

Milk - See Lon Lon Milk.

Poes - COMING SOON

Potions - Potions can be carried in bottles. There are different kinds of potions.

Rupees - The rupee is the currency of Hyrule and the surrounding areas. Link carries rupees in his wallet. The rupees vary in amount by color.
Green - 1 rupee Blue - 5 rupees Red - 20 rupees Purple - 50 rupees Gold - 200 rupees

If Link drops a bottle of bugs on the soil, the bugs will crawl into the dirt hole and a Gold Skulltula will pop out. As a child, Link can also plant a Magic Bean in the hole. When he does, a small plant will sprout up. When Link returns as an adult, the sprout will have matured into a hover plant that Link can use to get to locations and goodies that he could not reach before. NOTE: If you wish to use the bugs to get a Gold Skulltula, you must do this before you plant a Magic Bean.
The locations of these small mounds of soft soil are as follows:

Wallet - Link uses a wallet to hold his rupees. At the beginning of the game, Link's wallet can hold 99 rupees. To hold more rupees, Link must obtain bigger wallets. For bigger wallets, please see the Upgrades Section.
