In the Lost Woods:

• Enter the Lost Woods and take the tunnel to the right. Climb down the ladder and get on the tree stump. Some Skullkids will appear. Copy their songs one time and they'll give you a green rupee. Play again and they will give you a blue rupee. The third time, they will finally give you a piece of heart.
• Enter the Lost Woods and take the tunnel to the left. Climb on the stump by the Skullkid and play Saria's Song. He'll give you a piece of heart for being a friend of Saria's.

In the Graveyard:

• As a child: Go to the Kakariko's Graveyard at night and talk to Dampé. He'll ask if you want him to dig. Only have him dig on the dirt, not on the brick. In one of the dirt patches is a piece of heart.

Hyrule Market:

• As a child: Enter the market at night and get the white dog by the Bazaar to follow you. (He won't follow you if another dog is already following you.) Take him to fat lady's room in the Back Alley. If you have the correct dog, she'll give you a piece of heart.

In Zora's River:

• In Zora's River, grab a cucco and walk past the log with the frogs and near the hill up. Instead of going up, head south and glide with the cucco to the ledge by the narrow water stream. Climb up the ladder and use the cucco up there to glide to another island, then to the island with the piece of heart.
• I Zora's River, take a cucco with you to near the entrance to Zora's Domain. Use the cucco to glide to the platform with a piece of heart.

In Zora's Domain:

• As a child: Go to King Zora's throne. Get a Deku stick, light it, and light the torch at the bottom of the stairs. Get another stick and light it with that torch, then run to the store, light the torch near the entrance, then run out to the shallow water and light the torch there. Now run and find and open area behind the waterfall get in the middle of the two torches and use Din's Fire. If you did all that quickly enough, a big chest will appear between the two torches. In it is a piece of heart.
