Mask Section


Don Gero's Mask-
What it does:
Talk to frogs while wearing Don Gero's Mask and they will gather at Mountain Village in the spring. When all the frogs have gathered, you can conduct their frog choir when you wear it. You can find the frogs in the following places:

How you get it:
Give some food (found in the chandeliers in the Goron Shrine in Goron Village) to the Goron stranded on a ledge in Mountain Village during the winter. Toss the food up to him and he will give you the mask.


Bremen Mask-
What it does:
When you wear the Bremen Mask and do the march action near small animals, they follow after you and in some cases grow up.
How you get it:
Go to the laundry pool in South Clock Town at night on the first or second day and talk to Guru-Guru.


Great Fairy's Mask-
What it does:
In temples, it will make pieces of Fairies be drawn to you. It will also shimmer when there is a piece of Fairy in the same room as you.
How you get it:
Get a yellow piece of Fairy from the Clock Town (around the Laundry Pool during the day, by the Treasure Chest Game shop at night), and bring it to the Great Fairy Fountain in North Clock Town.


Bunny Hood-
What is does:
Makes you run fast.
How you get it:
Go to the Cucco Shack at Romani Ranch and use the Bremen Mask to have all the chicks follow you and mature. Then talk to Grog and he'll give you the Bunny Mask.


Mask of Scents-
What it does:
Makes you look scary (at least in my opinion), and allows you to see invisible mushrooms. (Read: purple haze you can put in a bottle.)
How you get it:
After defeating Odolwa in the Woodfall Temple, go to the left of Deku Palace. Keep up with the Deku butler and he will give you the mask at the end of your race. See the Southern Swamo Goodies section for details.


Kafei's Mask-
What it does:
When you wear it and talk to people, they'll talk about Kafei.
How you get it:
Talk to Madame Aroma in the room to the right in the Mayor's Office in East Clock Town when it's open. She'll ask you to find Kafei and give you the mask.


Kamaro's Mask-
What it does:
Makes your face go away and makes you dance funky. Also teaches this dance to dance students.
How you get it:
Find Kamaro outside the North Gate on a rock formation between midnight and 5 AM. Talk to him, then play the "Song of Healing". He will teach you the dance and give you mask.


Romani's Mask-
What it does:
Shows that you're a member of Latte, the exclusive milk bar in East Clock Town. (Also shows that Cremia considers you an adult.)
How you get it:
After you help Romani defeat the aliens, meet Cremia in front of the barn at Romani Ranch at 6 PM on the second day. Talk to her, accept a ride, and protect the milk from bandits. If you have at least one bottle at the end of the chase, Romani will give you the mask.


Blast Mask-
What it does:
Wear it and press B to make things explode. Watch out, it'll hurt you in the process.
How you get it:
At midnight of the first night in North Clock Town, stop the thief from stealing the Old Lady's baggage. Hit him with a sword to stop him. The Old Lady will give you the mask as thanks.


Circus Leader's Mask-
What it does:
Talk to the Gorman Brothers with it.
How you get it:
Once you have the Deku, Goron, and Zora, masks and Romani's Mask, go the Café Latte. Talk to Toto and follow his instructions about the Ocarina. Then go into your different modes, talk to Toto and follow his instructions about the pipes, drums, and guitar. You'll soften Gorman's heart, and he'll give you the mask.


Stone Mask-
What it does:
Makes you as plain as a stone so you can blend into your surroundings. Enemies will ignore you.
How you get it:
Outisde Ikana Valley, there's a circle of stones. Look in the circle with the Lens of Truth and give Shiro some red potion. He will give you the mask.


Mask of Truth-
What it does:
Allows you to read the thoughts of small animals and to hear gossip from gossip stones. (Gossip stones are the gray stones around the land with the Mask of Truth symbol on them that tell you the time when you whack them with a sword.)
How you get it:
Break the curse on the Fearful Spider House in Southern Swamp. See the Southern Swamp Goodies section for details.


Captain's Hat-
What it does:
Allows you to talk to Ikana Soliders.
How you get it:
Defeat Captain Keeta in Ikana Graveyard. Refer to the Ikana Valley section for details.


Garo's Mask-
What it does:
Allows you to summon Garo ninjas. Defeat the ninjas to obtain their words of wisdom.
How you get it:
Beat the Gorman Brothers in a horse race in Gorman Track.


Gibdo Mask-
What it does:
Keeps Gibdos and ReDeads from attacking you. (It actually makes the ReDeads start dancing. Heehee.) You can also talk to Gibdos.
How you get it:
Heal the soul of the cursed human living in Ikana Canyon. It's Pamela's dad. See the Ikana Valley section for more details. (That section is after you make the river run again.)


Keaton Mask-
What it does:
You know those rings of plants that scatter when you slash one? Slash them all (use the magic spin attack, hold B until the sword glows yellow then release) with the Keaton Mask on. An actual Keaton will pop up and quiz you. Answer all five questions correctly and he'll give you a piece of heart. For answers to Keaton's questions, check out Keaton's Q&A.
How you get it:
Meet Kafei and return to his room above the Curiosity Shop at 6PM on the final night. Talk to the man from the Curiosity Shop and he will give you the Keaton Mask. See the Notebook Walkthrough for details.


Couple's Mask-
What it does:
Softens people's hearts apparently. Go to the Mayor's Residence and in the room to the left with the people arguing. Talk Mayor Dotour wearing the Couple's Mask and everyone will go "Ah!" Mayor Dotour will recognize the mask and note that a young couple must just have been married. He will end the bickering and let people determine for themselves whether to remain or flee. Once the arguing people have dispersed, Mayor Dotour will give you a piece of heart out of gratitude.
How you get it:
Complete the Anju and Kafei notebook mission.


All-Night Mask-
What it does:
It won't let you go to sleep. Talk to Anju's grandmother in the Stock Pot Inn and this will make you stay awake and listen to her stories.
How you get it:
Help the Old Lady from the Bomb Shop. Then on the night of the final day, go to the Curiosity Shop and buy the All-Night Mask for 500 rupees.


Postman's Mask-
What it does:
You can look in mailboxes when you wear it. You will often find rupees, but you can also get a piece of heart. Ironically, you cannot get mail that has been put in mailboxes.
How you get it:
Help the Postman. (See Postman's notebook guide.)
