The two 36 and 1/2" long metal rails are made up of all steel parts except for the four (two on
each rail) short, fat sections of tubing at either end of the connector nuts at the rail centers.
Those are pieces of white PVC pipe painted to match the rusty look of the steel.


The photo above shows the top of one of the table's legs. At the very top of each leg is 1 3/8" square
non-skid rubber cushion on which the glass table top will rest. On the side of the leg, near the top,
you can see the end of a 1/2" diameter threaded steel rod secured with a nut and washer. Threaded
rods run through the steel tubing that make up the two rails and through holes bored in the table legs.


This is a closeup view of one of the non-skid rubber cushions. I made these cushions using
1/8" thick red rubber gasket material, purchased at Ace Hardware, for the bottom layer and
a much thinner piece of black, self-adhesive, non-skid rubber, sold at Home Depot, for the
top layer. I attached the cushions to the tops of the table legs with contact cement.
