"Happy Birthday Zac!" C.J said happily, handing Zac his present. She was the last person to give Zac his birthday present. In Zac's opinion, he was saving the best for last. He tore open the paper and then saw a dark blue velvet box.
"C.J, I think we're a little to young for this! and besides, you're meant to wait for me to ask you!" Zac joked. The two of them were sitting up in Zac's tree house. The rest of Zac's guests, which were: Isaac, Taylor, Kayla, Jaymi, Malcom, Brian, Brad, Zac's parents, The twins and Malcom's mom and C.J's mom, were all inside.
"Just open it!" C.J said smiling at him.
"Ok Ok" Zac said and he opened the box. Inside was a small silver cross on a silver chain.
"Read the back" C.J said, turning the cross over. On the back, going down were "To Zac" and then going across were "Love C.J". Zac took the cross out of the box and put it on.
"I'm never gonna take it off" Zac promised. C.J smiled.
"I'm glad you like it.... I was hoping I got you the right thing.. I mean, the only guy's I've ever had to shop for was my brother's.." C.J stopped herself, realizing she was rambling on. Zac smiled at her.
"I love it C.J... and I love you..." He said as he leant over and kissed her.
"I wonder what they're doing up there?" Jaymi said, thinking out loud about C.J and Zac. Isaac smiled.
"You really want to think about that?" He asked. Jaymi pulled a face.
"Not really.." She laughed. Her and Isaac had snuck up to the boy's room. Jaymi kissed Isaac, starting off with small, quick pecks, then the kisses got longer and more passionate. They were up on Isaac's bed and Jaymi was laying on top of Isaac. She pulled off his shirt and her hands travelled all over his back. Isaac started to unbutton Jaymi's shirt when..
"ISAAC! JAYMI! WHERE ARE YOU?" Mr Hanson's voice boomed through the house. Both teenagers groaned. Isaac put his shirt back on and Jaymi did up the first three buttons on her shirt. They walked down stairs and saw that Zac was about to cut his cake. Zac cut the cake and the younger kids all demanded a piece. Soon the teenagers had closed themselves in the den and were talking about the dance.
"So you're not going Mal?" Jaymi asked. Malcom shook his head.
"Nah... me and Brooke are just gonna watch movies at home" Malcom said.
"How boring.." Jaymi said.
"Well it might be boring to you but who say's we're actually gonna watch the movies?" Malcom asked, a grin on his face. Jaymi pulled a face.
"Ike, tell me about this Jed guy" Kayla said. Taylor glanced up at Kayla and then at Isaac.
"Oh well, uh.. he's real nice... you'd like him" Isaac said. Suddenly Taylor stood up.
"Uh, excuse me" He mumbled and then walked out of the room. Everyone watched Taylor leave but no one said a word about it afterwards. All talk of the dance ceased.
"So guy's... what did you all get me for my birthday... which is tomorrow I might add" C.J said, changing the subject. Everyone laughed.
"We're not gonna tell you" Kayla said.
"Why not?"
"Cause you have to wait until tomorrow" Zac said to her as he took hold of her hand.
"Mom.. Jaymi and I are going for a drive" Isaac said. Mrs. Hanson frowned.
"Ike... it's your birthday... your grandparents are here and-"
"Mom... I'm eighteen now... and besides... we wont be long" Isaac said. It was now Isaac's eighteenth birthday. C.J's had been and gone and Taylor had finally said yes to being Kayla's blind date for the dance. Mrs. Hanson sighed.
"I don't know"
"We wont be long" Isaac said, giving his mother a kiss on the cheek. He and Jaymi then walked out of the house and got into Isaac's car. "Ok.. where exactly are we going?" He asked.
"How about my house?... no one's home cause their all at your house" Jaymi replied. Isaac smiled and then headed for Jaymi's house. Soon after that he and Jaymi were lying in Jaymi's bed, the house was dark as they had turned all the lights off. Their clothes were strewn around Jaymi's bedroom floor as the two of them made love. At first, because of her pregnancy and then her miscariage, Jaymi had been hesitant about sleeping with Isaac. But he had assured her that they would alway's use protection and Jaymi had made him promise that they would never have un-protected sex again. 2 hours later Jaymi woke and looked at her alarm clock. "Oh shit" She said. She then woke Isaac and the two of them scrambled to put their clothes back on and get back to the Hanson household.
"Where the hell were you?" Taylor asked as Jaymi and Isaac walked into the living room.
"We went for a drive out of town... we only just got back" Jaymi lied.
"Where are mom and dad?" Isaac asked.
"In the kitchen with everyone else"
"Why are you sitting in here alone?" Jaymi asked as Isaac walked into the kitchen to be lectured by his parents for being so long. Taylor shrugged.
"To many people in the kitchen... I dunno... I've got a headache"
"Why don't I believe you?" Jaymi asked, sitting down next to him on the couch.
"Why don't I believe that lame story about you guy's driving out of town?" Taylor asked. Jaymi blushed.
"Ok Ok... I get your point. And I'm not gonna say a word about Kayla"
"You just did."
"No I didn't" Jaymi protested. Taylor just shrugged, not in the mood to argue with Jaymi. Taylor was sitting alone in the living room simply because Kayla was in the kitchen. She was still acting cold and distant towards him and he was sure she would freak out when he turned up with Isaac and Zac instead of this imaginary Jed guy.
